Mac Review needed please
Hi
I just purchased a MacBook, and am dismayed at how my site looks on it. The first page is fine, but when I click on one of the categories, everything's misaligned. Is it just my machine, or is that on everyone's Mac computers? I'd appreciate it if any of you mac users would give it a lookover.
In addition to the review, I'm looking for someone expert with Wordpress for Mac to help me download the software and work through any glitches. Does anybody out there consult? Msg me.
Thanks,
Julie

Re: Mac Review needed please
The homepage looks OK in both Firefox 2 and Safari 3.1 under Mac OS 10.5.2
The Arkansas page looks OK in Firefox.
The red splotches are mis-aligned vertically in Safari.
If you are going to use CSS for alignment, then you will need to test:
IE 7 Windows
Firefox Windows
Safari Mac OS X
Firefox Mac OS X

Your Post Titles open with <h2> and close with </h3>. The other browsers must let you away with it, but Safari must be a stickler, and since there is no end to the <h2> tag - has all the text following still in <h2> format.

thanks for that info but where did you see that. I checked my wordpress presentation folder and I saw </h2> as the close on post titles. Am I looking in the wrong place?
Julie

Re: Mac Review needed please
Based upon joand's comments, I decided to download your Arkansas page and supporting files.
I can't even open it in Dreamweaver. Very strange.

Can you clarify what you mean?
AFAIK, WordPress is free, open source CMS software accessed directly from WordPress.com or loaded on your Linux/PHP/MySQL-compatible domain.
Once installed, it's administered through your Firefox/Safari/Opera/Explorer browser from any type of computer or device.
To download it or learn more, start at WordPress.org. Or just Google it by name to find any one of millions of resource blogs and podcasts.

Red splotches as Dave Barnes pointed out also mis align in Safari under Windows.
The sub pages are also a bit clunky with the background red loading before the rest. Looks odd.

Re: Mac Review needed please
I'm looking at it in Firefox 2 and Safari3 OSX 10.5.2 and no issues, working fine. As for Wordpress, either stay in-browser to use, or install on the server, works like a charm as adverlicious says.
We use it for our corporate site, which helps our consulting more intevix - web information architects as we like to engage with our clients who seem to read rather regularly.

Re: Mac Review needed please
When I view the source of your page, I see:
<div class="post"><h2 id="post-2040" class="posttitle"><a href="http://thingsyoushoulddo.com/what-to-do/dining/twenty-six" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to Twenty Six">Twenty Six</a></h3>
There is an error in your template, probably in the category.php template, if your theme has one, or in the index.php if it does not.
