My friends and I launched this site recently and was wondering if anyone had feedback: http://www.bewitchedby.com
We're constantly looking to improve, so your comments are welcome. Many Thanks, Kristy |

I like it a lot! I really like the logo at the top. The only complaint I had was the swearing in places on the rant page. Only because it did not fit with the feminine theme of the rest of the site. Everything looks lacy and it kind of suprised me to see the swears. In my opinion, but I am old fashioned.
Real good site.

I don't claim to be an expert, but I will give you the benefit of advice given to me in the past plus what I have been studying about Search Engine Optimization.
The first and most obvious to me was the lack of any alt. tags with your graphics. Search engine crawlers do not recognize graphics or the text within the graphic. I would advice putting descriptions on every graphic on your site in the form of an alt. tag. A marketing guru told me that bullets are a critical device for getting a readers attention. I would make your opening page a series of bullet points with a colorful bullet in front. I also have a dislike for centered text. It's not as interesting to read as left or justified paragraphs. Your colors are great and it's a very attractive home page. On your about page you use the word "we" a great number of times. Marketing experts unaminously state to not use words like we, I, me, our and instead concentrate on you, your, etc. You get the point. I would also recommend you develop a site map page. I do like the overall look and feel of your site. Good luck with it.

Very nice looking site. While it is a great start, there are something’s that you should consider.
1) I personally have never been one for frames. And I will tell you why. First, your header takes up 1/3 of the page height, which makes for scrolling issues when you have long pages. Second, search engines are going to place you really low unless you are on a PPC program. Reason being is because your main page has no content. The body page does, but that is not what the search engine sees. And let's look at this by way of the viewer. Say the search engine lists your site pages and the viewer opens the page http://www.bewitchedby.com/main.html. Wow! I now have content, but I have no header, and absolutely no links to get through the site. No company information and no way to get to the main page which is the page that holds the frames. You just lost a visitor. 2) As Stu mentioned. Go with left justified text instead of centered. The only time you should center something is if it is making a specific point. 3) On the fashion finds page, the images are on your server, but they are too big and load much slower than I can scroll down the page. Most viewers are not going to wait for all those images to load. You have two options here. 1) Reduce the size of the images by half and make your rows 4-5 products wide instead of three. 2) Break the products down into tops, skirts, accessories, etc. That way the wait isn't as long for loading and there is more organization between the product pieces. 4) The shops and deals page should be organized by product / industry lines. Last note, I must commend you on your ability to turn everything within this site into a sales pitch for one or more products you are selling. You have a great idea here. Keep with it. But I do suggest losing the frames. It will help with the visitors and will really help with future search engine rankings. Best of luck.

I like the feminine appearance of your website. I also love the color pink. However, I am a bit overwhelmed by the size of your header. Making it smaller would put the homepage in better perspective and make it more serious businesswise.
Best of luck in your new venture. Regards,
