Hi,
I've inherited a website that was originally designed as a spin-off from another site to deal with the company's software product line. I now want to expand this site and increase it's visibility in advance of new software products becoming available. Property Management Software for Landlords - Home I would like feedback on the general aesthetic look and feel and how easy it is to navigate and how easy it is to find information. I would also be interested in any SEO-related comments as my goal is to boost this sites rankings rather than rely on the other company websites and merely redirect customers here. Thanks |

Overall the site looks good, but you may want to consider:
* On your product details / order page you need to have a link to your 'View product demo' above the fold "top part of the page" that links to the one program demo of the product being shown. * Since it is an instant download and works with U.K. and overseas properties, have a currency converter or have it to where the visitor can select currency. * Make it so your visitors do not have to create an account to purchase your product. * Copyright needs to be changed. * Your meta keywords and meta descriptions need to be filled in as they are blank right now. * You can remove the Meta Robots as that's what they do by default. * Remove the java scripts from the code and put them in an external .js file. * Get backlinks to your site. * Add title attributes and alt tags to your text links and images. * Need to fix this http://www.propertyportfoliosoftware.co.uk/test/ and http://www.propertyportfoliosoftware.co.uk/test Where is your 404 error page? * Need to fix this as well Index of /images I should not be able to pull a directory list. |

The site looks nice but somehow it's not grabbing my attention - maybe it's just because I'm tired, but I was having to read the details to find out what the site was about.
Your logo is good and tells you what the site does but the heading "Designed by Landlords for Landlords" is what grabbed my attention and this didn't tell me what I needed to know - perhaps you might change this to something like "Software Designed by Landlords for Landlords"????? Also, in the Property Portfolio Manager box, I personally would want to see some bullet points as to what the software does to tempt me to read further. A minor point of grammar - "Landlords Property and Tax Manager" should be "Landlords' Property and Tax Manager" and I believe that "FAQ's" should be "FAQs" or just "FAQ". As far as SEO goes, I'm still learning but the advice is to put alt text on images and text behind navigation buttons including footers (this also helps screen readers for the visually impaired). Also rather than saying "Click here to learn more" the advice I've read is to use keywords such as "More about Property Portfolio Manager software >>" and then include Screen Tip Text behind the hyperlink. Hope this helps. JJ1

I've had another think about your site Property Management Software for Landlords - Home and I think that one reason that the site didn't hold my attention is that the visuals (the software packages) weren't something that I identified with.
As a landlord who has invested in the buy-to-let market, I identify with properties (pictures of flats, terraces, semis etc) and with tenants moving in and out ("to let" "let by...") - these visuals might grab me more than just a software package box - especially as the first software box has visuals that I couldn't easily make out. Specific issues that might grab my attention might be "What was the water reading on property x 3 months ago?" or "How long was property y empty for before this tenant moved in?" This is purely my personal opinion and feel free to ignore it - as I said on my last posting, your site is neat, professional and nice to look at so it could just be that I'm feeling tired. JJ1
