Tested in IE6 56k modem 800x600. Graphics are a little slow to load. Might be nice if the menus changed colour when the mouse is passed over them. Otherwise, a very nice design. Good luck with it.

Nice design, obviously it's going to be graphics intensive being a photo source so I expect it to be a bit slow in places.

The only suggestion I'll make about this is to remove the "mailto" links, you're setting yourself up for a spam attack, set up a proper enquiry form.

Otherwise it's a good job ;)

Nice page :) Might be worth of thinking also users with 800x600 resolution? Horisontal scrollbar can be a bit annoying...

Don't pull the mailto links! An Email is the best way to start a repoire (sp?) with a prospect. Most peeps are WAY to chicken ^%$& to call or order on a first impression. Here's a little strip of code that most spam spiders get all squirley about:

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
var user; var domain; var suffix;
function jemail(user, domain, suffix){
document.write('<a href="' + 'mailto:' + user + '@' + domain
+ '.' + suffix + '">' + user + '@' + domain + '.' + suffix +
'</a>');}
jemail("dan", "wendimages", "com");
</script>

Nice flame job on the critter. I have trouble getting my Rhino to stand still for that long. My Natalie Portman desktop does the trick every time. Old fluffy just stands there like a big ol' cow and stares for hours.

My only suggestion would be a tagline under your logo. I didn't reach you through a search, took me a second to figure out what you were selling. I had to check your meta tags.

Good luck.

Very nice work - my husband was a commercial photographer and he's picky, picky about photos - he thought it was "good work" in his words, which is about as high a praise as he gives ;-)

I was on http://www.wendimages.com./artindex.htm and wanted to view more photos - then I got a 404 error for this page: http://www.wendimages.com./art_p13.htm

Do you have a gallery or somewhere a local could come see your work in person? Some of the pieces I'd like to see up close - I don't live nearby but it made me wonder where you were located, so I hunted down the About Me page and holy cripes, you're in Des Moines, Washington. Now, I live in Vancouver, Washington and I've never heard of Des Moines? That's near Seattle?

When the local search directories start gearing up, I'd scatter a reference to Seattle amongst your address info, so you'll get listed properly and folks who don't know that city name specifically can find you geographically.

Great site! I really like your work.

Default A few comments

Although there is a Verisign logo on the homepage, when I tried to buy something your checkout page was NOT secure. The title of the page is "Secure Order Form", yet the URL was http://www.wendimages.com/cgi-bin/pl...e/commerce.cgi.
Perhaps you are still testing and haven't turned on SSL yet, but I'd advise you to remember that little detail!

The only other comment I'd like to make is that most of your site is left aligned, but a few tables are centered and it doesn't look right on a large monitor at high resolution (i.e. "Select a Category Below" on the homepage, the product detail pages, etc...).

Other than that, it looks good.

Very nice site. Good layout. The only thing I did not care for were the black and blue bars at the bottom. Did not seem to add anything to the overall look.

Good job

Default Feedback on Your Website

A visually appealing site, for sure! Nice job.

From the information-handling point of view, 2 things:

1. On the Home page, the text in the lower left corner is so far down the page it's out of the no-scroll zone on an 800X600 display. The rhino can be made smaller with out losing any visual impact, which will let you get the text up into the visible part of the page. (Another post mentioned the difficulty of understanding what the site was for. Raising the text into the no-scroll zone and rewriting it a bit should solve this.)

2. On your Professional Design Service page, the sub-menu of links at the bottom isout of the no-scroll zone and therefore likely to be overlooked by many users. The visible page is SO perfectly composed that becomes a visual indicator that that's all there is; that there IS no more below. The sub-menu of links need to be brought up into the no-scroll zone where it can't be overlooked.

Otherwise, a very appealing site!

best wishes,
B.J. Michaels

Default art and photos

Hi Kathryn,
Thanks very kindly for your generous words regarding my art. I'm not currently in any "physical" gallery, though our home sometimes resembles one. With that in mind, if you were traveling this far north (midway between Seattle & Tacoma) and gave me advanced notice, you would be welcome to see any pieces that I may still have, in my home "gallery". Thanks again, Dan Wend
