I understand the need for advertising but I thought the site was for H&R Block until I saw your logo to the left. Maybe the design needs to be a little more in keeping with the logo than the banner? That's my first thought.

Is this a ground-up build or is it based on a CMS? It just looks a little too much like a CMS with a paid-for template - there's nothing in there that's styled like your logo for instance, nothing that really stamps your brand all over the design.

Also, I'm a bit traditionalist so I prefer to see my news stories "above the fold" - the machine I'm viewing from is just a 1024x768 so I don't see your featured articles straight away, just that clever window where lots of offers flash past.

Overall it's OK though, I shall bookmark and come back soon

Thank you for the feedback! After consideration, they company has revamped the homepage, and got rid of that banner across the top center.

What do you think about the changes?

I just don't trust anyone who has in their T&Cs "The monthly fee specified on the face side of this form shall be debited from the Member’s account on or about the FIRST (1st) day of each month for activity in the prior calendar month. Member shall be billed for annual renewal fees on the FIRST (1st day) of the renewal term." and yet won't tell me up front how much it costs.
