Default Site review www.cajuntaste.com

This is my first time in the forum and the first time I've asked for a peer review...so don't hurt me. I've got two sites that have grossed about $11k in the last six months. I've been using Google Adwords, I index with b-central, and I attempt to write for the search engines. I used Godaddy's Website Complete for the site since I've never bothered to try and learn html. Just need some input guys. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. www.cajuntaste.com and www.crawfishin.com are my sites.

Default website critique

Hi,

I enjoyed your websites and thought they were fun, colorful and informative. My time is really limited right now, so I haven't time to visit every page, etc. but I'll just mention one concern:

First, the Zydeco music was a put-off for me. I would have left immediately had I not been evaluating your website. It was too loud, and I have family members sleeping. (You can adjust the volume by reducing it to 70-80% if you insist on using it.)

I was worried that the music would wake up my family. I think if I was in an office, I'd have those same concerns.

I couldn't find any place to turn the music off. Did I miss something? If you are going to have music, you should provide for an "off" button right up front, so that if the music is either irritating or disturbing, it can be shut off.

I have read Sites That Sell and I know that music is supposed to increase sales. Obviously, you are doing something right if you have done that well already.

Good luck with your business, and I hope you have a lot of success!

Default Re: website critique

Thanks for the input, I've been meaning to do that, it is quite a shock sometimes...hehe. I lot of my customers order from work so I think it could be a problem. If you get time in the future, please feel free to "rip" my sites apart so that I can improve them.

Take Care

You have a couple of very nice web sites. I would have never guessed that you do not have a great amount of html experience. You offer a lot of information about crawfish and the other food that you sell and the recipes are great. You're web site and information is very friendly and offers every bit of information that people would need about ordering and the shipment. Expect me to order some crawfish next month.
