Chaffin Family Orchards

I have been out of the website design game for a few years and gotten more into traditional advertising for farms and ranches. I got hired to work for a farm/ranch to help them set a site up. I did not build this one but rather helped the client get content together as well as did a little of the SEO. Let me know what you think? The site hasn't launched yet so there are still a few rough edges. I am particularly interested in whether or not the users find the site informative, trustworthy, easy to navigate, and what you all think can be done to improve search engine ranking as time goes on.
Thanks,
Chris

Not knowing what rough edges you have or know about, let me run though a few things that jump right out.

1. You need a real title in your title tag.
2. You need a meta keyword and description tag
3. You may want to add title tags to you side nav bar.
4. I like your contact us page. You actually give all import contact info. My personal opinion would be to move the submit button under the text area next to the reset button. Right now it looks lonely.
5. Need better product description on your products.
6. On your side nav bar you have "Our Products" I believed it can be a little confusing to your visitors in that they think thats where you go to purchase your products. I would make it Product Info or Product Description. I would also change the word "Shop" as to you are on a farm and shop can mean a lot of things like work shop. I would change it to Our Store or Online Store. But that is just my personal opinion.
7. It appears that your "Join our mailing list" has pushed your column width open, making the column wider then it should or needs to be. Also your green mouse over would look better if it were to go all the way across.
8. I'm not too crazy about the top header. I think you have too many white spaces and waste to much 'Above the fold area'.
9. Your company policies should be easier to see and find. Maybe put them on the side nav bar under the 'Join mailing list'

Personal note.
I would remove or add a rel=nofollow to the 'Bright Hope Designs' link since I did not see a link to YOUR site from their page.

You asked about future SEO on the page.

1. Add a site map. Right now you only have 1 link going to every page. With this it is going to be hard to gain page rank for your inner pages. A site map will help in this, but maybe also adding a breadcrumb would also help your visitors and in SEO.
2. Not sure what keywords you are going to use. I recommend using those keywords in the body content to obtain keyword density. I would also bold the keywords and link them to the page they are most relevant.
3. I would consider starting a blog on a different domain or a subdomain, and post articles on the new happenings and what's going on on the farm. You can also post pictures of recent tours, upcoming events, etc. This would greatly help your page rank "as long as you include links to your site at the bottom of the blog or in the articles".

Decrease the body text font size and increase the leading. It will improve the readability.
