Well... I don't know about the content. It seems to vary in quality from camera to camera. A couple of the cameras I looked at didn't have any description at all. Others just had a sentence or two. Some of the more detailed ones had lot of words running together (i.e. punctuation problems, not enough use of paragraph or bullet separations, etc.)

My first reaction to the site is that you need to work on font selection and font colors, and also lose a lot of asterisks from the text. Almost every asterisk I saw annoyed me.

Another "first reaction" is that I would never buy a camera from a camera shop that doesn't know how to spell "Canon". (The spelling "Cannon" appears in the navigation and also throughout the site.)

In some of the navigation buttons you use both upper and lower-case letter letters, and in other buttons you use all-caps. I'd change that right away too.

I don't see much value in the McAfee "Hacker Safe" logo... I certainly wouldn't display it two to three times per page!

Do you have a "real" (bricks and mortar) store? If so, I would certainly say so, and also include a photo of it. I think you need to do something to make your business look more "real" and substantial. Who wants to risk buying a $1000 product from a shop that only exists on someone's computer?

Customer testimonials wouldn't hurt.

I'd lose some of the outbound links because they don't look professional. (I'd lose the whole "fav links" section, plus the free "Translation" services and the box that says you have a Google page rank of 1 out of 10.)

If this review helped you, please take a minute to return the favor by giving me your reactions to my website:

* At the very top of your home page page you have a ' "> ' that should not be there.
* Check your meta tags. You have a few listed twice and a few errors in them as well like
<meta name="description" content="<meta name="description" , and <meta name="ROBOTS" content="INDEX,FOLLOW 14 days"> then a revisit after tag of 15 days.
The index, follow tag and revisit tag can be removed for they index, follow by default and they will come back when they feel like it. You have no control of this.
* Copyright should be 2008 not 2007
* If you must have OBL to link partners make sure they open in a NEW window so people do not leave your site. Also make sure you label them so people know they are not site links.
* Check your punctuation on all your pages. 'Note there should be a space after a comma etc.'
* Check your code for your style sheet. You have it linked 3 or 4 times.
* On your camera pages check your table cell settings as some seem to be set to align top while others are aligned middle.
* Your click image for a larger view opens in the same window making people hit the back button or hitting the close window by mistake. I would have a small window open just for the larger image like the ones found here or like the ones on here, or something of the sort.
* The site links you have at the top of the page I would bring down next to your search box.
* I like the hacker safe logo, but I would move it down under the links for two reasons:
1. search engines
2. display your content and products first "above the fold"

A few things to think about.
On your top title bar you have almost a billboard type ad telling people to shop online and buy their next camera here and save big. Internet shoppers are getting very savvy and they are shopping online, hence they are on your site for a reason. Also they will not buy from you unless your prices are competitive. Most people shop around and come back to sites that, "in no order"
1. they remember.
2. they bookmarked.
3. that has the best price including shipping.
4. that has the item in stock.
5. that has spelled out their return policy, shipping policy, warranty policy etc.
6. they trust.

I would rethink your wording and spell out your policies as to is there a re-stock fee? How long before it ships? Can I ship it overnight? Do you ship overseas? etc.

I have to ask, why did you open the yahoo store if you already have a store selling the same products that in my opinion has a better look and layout than the one you just opened?

Another thing you might want to check out is the uniqueness of the content. I see on a lot of sites that sell items that they tend to copy the descriptions from other sites.

Check out individual pages with Copyscape to make sure you aren't going to get duplicate issues.

Thanks so much for the
advise I will do the nessary changes asap

you have great ideas and some real concerns. thanks again

as for the other store it was actually my first and it is on a redirect. As well as the hoster will not allow links to be placed on the site without a 600.00 dollar up grade. I would not mind doing this accept for the fact that the hoster has a bad reputation. Some even say they their a scam. The truth is that most people who use this company are first time internet business owners. And do not know what the heck their doing including me so when they dont make thousands of dollars in two weeks they yell scam rather than realising they have to actually work. Plus the editor has somewhat fixed template for html codes. So i decided to branch out with a new one.

Thanks again Pam

I agree completely with this... However the image enlarging this way is a Yahoo default - you will have to do some RTML tinkering to change it so that it loads a pop-up or a layer enlarge. You should invest in a good RTML book (Y-times is a good resource) if you are up to making these kinds of changes on your own or look for a RTML programmer to help you here & there as you need.

Put some energy into your header area... it should have your phone number if possible and I would suggest having a logo of some sort up there. I agree w/ amxfan... bring your top nav down into your search bar... It will unclutter your header.

The colors of the site are a bit on the wild side and are very distracting. Your design should not compete with your products. Instead your attention should be pulled straight to the areas that create action - the price area and the order button. If you want to keep the colors the same... I suggest at min. taking the blue out of the top bar, top menu and left menu, instead using the blue as an attention-getting color for your price field(s) and your order button on item pages.

The left menu is very long. I would either add a right column to include the images that show under the left navigation or maybe place them at the footer of the page instead.

Widening your design would help bring more information into your top fold and shorten your pages a bit.

Your description meta tag appears twice on some pages and it looks like all your pages have the same description and keywords... each page of your site should have unique keywords and descriptions that are targeted to that specific product/page. Look into an RTML upgrade called dynamic meta tags if you do not have the ability to get to it right away.

The footer looks really strange to me with the paypal logo spanning across the bottom. I think one paypal logo would be sufficient.

Best of luck!

You have some typos in your text on the "About Us" page that need fixing, ie. "witch" should be "which"

Default Not the place for me

If I were going to buy a "CANON EOS 1D MARK III", I would not buy from a site named "cameras 'n' gifts".

I would spend lots of time at DPReview.com (unfortunately now owned by Jeff Bezos) and search for the best place to buy.
