Please review our site - www.ncs-us.com

We are still adding tables and buttons. We had a person doing the site for us, but we had to let him go, due to spelling errors, and slow work. Not knowing basic HTML, we took over and have gotten this far. Please give us your constructive criticism.
Your help is appreciated.

The nucleus is there for a really great site, but it needs a lot of fine tuning.

If you are determined to do this on your own, there are templates available that you can purchase which may help make your task easier.

On thing that I did not like was the rainbow color spec/price tables. These clashed visually with the images of your products. They need to be a little bit more low key - let your products speak for themselves as much as possible.

The text on your first page do not read well. Are you trying to write for the Search Engines or people? I know that it is a "work in progress", but it's a hard slog trying to get through all of that.

Default Too well written - to much write on index page

Hi Folks:

I must agree that the text on your opening page is long, involved, and difficult to get thru. May I suggest that you incorporate the text for each product on the product page itself - and pare down the amount of text. As Sgt. Joe Friday once said: "Just the facts". I know writing text for a site can be frustrating, from experience I know - and I am a copywriter. Boil it down, smooth it out. As for the colours - I personally like em - they look sharp. Overall a good site.

Default website critique

Hi,

I think you have a very nice site, and appropriate for your products. Your graphics are more than adequate. About the colors, I agree that some of them could be improved upon. Please take a look at this helpful website, if you are interested in improving your color scheme:

http://www.pixy.cz/apps/barvy/index-en.html

You might also like to look at the color section of my post today in the Site Design Forum, entitled "Can Your Website Pass the Tests?" I have included many helpful URLs for color problems, including addressing the needs of the color-blind.

As for your text at the bottom of the home page, I suspect you probably added that for search engines, since I did the same thing on mine. I am certain no one will spend the time to read through it, but I hope the search engines will.

For good website design (by the book), you are not supposed to have more than 4 page lengths of vertical scrolling, but then I have broken those rules, too.

I haven't decided exactly what I am going to do with so much text, but I am thinking about inserting some relevant graphics to relieve the eyes, just in case someone wants to read it.

Best of luck with your site. I really do think it is very well done.
