Using Firefox "I did not check with IE" your site seems to have a issue with alignment of one of your tables. You "Email Software" header starts where your right nav ends "the light gray part of it". This is over half way down the page below the fold. I did not look at closely at your code to see if this is where you want it and you plain on putting other things above. But as of now it looks wrong.

I would suggest removing all of your styles and putting them in a external style sheet.
I would also remove the java scripting and put it in external .js scripts.
None of your links are working on your "Important links" and your 'about us' and 'contact us' links are broken.

I'm not sure about the look of the top of the page where you have your 'home, about us, contact us' links. It leaves a big white space to the left of them and wastes this valuable area above the fold area. I would try and bring them down and put them somewhere under the top title table.
Lastly add a bread crumb trail to your pages so people can tell where they are on your page. This will also help them navigate through it.

These coding warnings may help you fix the layout. There is something which is making it not x-browser compatible.
Code:
HTML warning (210/68): The attribute "BACKGROUND" is deprecated in the tag <TH> and should no longer be used. It is suggested CSS be used instead.
HTML warning (215/135): The attribute "HEIGHT" is deprecated in the tag <TABLE> and should no longer be used. It is suggested CSS be used instead.
HTML warning (222/211): The tag <FONT> is deprecated and should no longer be used. It is suggested CSS be used instead.
HTML warning (396/135): The tag <FONT> is deprecated and should no longer be used. It is suggested CSS be used instead.
Remove all the nbsp that your editor has added to force layout spacing.

Also, remove nested tables - browsers always mess up on those.

"The slogan of the website..." What?!

All of amxfan's comments are dead on.

I have no clue what this website is about.

I checked the page in Safari, and it is also leaving a large white space in the center of the page, you have to scroll down to see the main content. Also, check your spelling "Profissional" is mispelled.

seems the big space was fixed.

You'd do very well to have this site rebuilt free of tables and inline, deprecated styles.

For example, you use a SPAN tag to hold your bullets for your lists, when really, you could just use an unordered list, styled separately from you HTML. That's what they're for!

Also, there are way too many spacer cells...in fact, one is too many. There is no reason for these anymore.

If you're building this yourself, get on some good tutorial sites. They are easy to find. W3Schools is a good start.

Also, although less and less weight is put on meta tags, you should still take an extra second and put a bit of thought into them...'email' is a keyword that you will not get listed for EVER.

You've got a ways to go.

Ok, I have to ask a few questions now so please bear with me as I figure out what you're trying to do.

1. Is this web site going to a FREE site where you do not plan on making anything from it?
2. Following any of your links they all lead off your page to other web sites that sell the products. Are they affiliates?
3. How do you plan on ranking for any of your keywords?
4. Do you have a game plan on how to obtain backlinks?
5. Will your backlinks have good anchor text to help your site rank for your keywords?

Yes I'm leading up to something, but before I go on I would like to hear your comments.

We opened this Area Rug site last fall and got no sales. After looking into it we found we had several hiccups and closed it down to fix it all. we opened again mid January and are getting about 30 -50 visitors a day. Still no sales at all. We have checked everything we know to check for errors. Can someone please check it out and let me know when you land on our site do you understand where to find the area rug section? Any help is appreciated. Thank You in advance. It can't be price, because the rug manufacturers inforce a strict low pricing policy for the internet so everyone has an amount they cannot go under. Plus we offer free shipping. Why would someone looking for a rug not buy from our site.

" Email-resources.net is an internet directory that includes so many email related resources software, services, servers and forums"

Exactly what are "so many resources..." I dont like that and either will people that read it on a search engines.

Your title is not very discriptive.

Try something like - "Find everything you need to work with e-mail as a tool. We have resources like software, services, servers & forums." Subsititute the word tool for whatever you are trying to sell on your site.

I did not count but make sure it not over 70-75 characters including spaces.

Good luck.

Michael

ok just for the heck of it I had a report ran that compared your site to the top 10 sites on Google for your keyword of email. The percentages listed below where derived from this comparison.

I used the word email due to that is the only keyword you had listed. But to be honest I would go after a less competitive keyword.

* Density: The keyword density for the search term "email" is 50.0%. This is too high in the document title (it should be 25.0% at maximum). Consider adding more text
* Number of words: You use 2 words in the document title but you should use more words. Use at least 5 words
* Number of characters: You use 15 characters in the document title but you should use more characters. Use at least 26 characters

* Density: The keyword density for the search term "email" is 100.0%. This is too high in the Meta Keywords tag (it should be 26.3% at maximum). Consider adding more text

* Density: The keyword density for the search term "email" is 16.4%. This is too high in the body text (it should be 4.1% at maximum). Consider adding more text.

* Density: The keyword density for the search term "email" is 11.1%. This is too high in the first sentence of the body text (it should be 10.0% at maximum). Consider adding more text.

* Density: The keyword density for the search term "email" is 33.3%. This is too high in the same site link texts (it should be 7.1% at maximum). Consider adding more text.

* Density: The keyword density for the search term "email" is 63.6%. This is too high in the same site link URLs (it should be 18.8% at maximum). Consider adding more text.

* Number of words: You use 22 words in the same site link URLs but you should use more words. Use at least 54 words.
* Number of characters: You use 255 characters in the same site link URLs but you should use more characters. Use at least 343 characters.

* Density: The keyword density for the search term "email" is 100.0%. This is too high in the IMG ALT attributes (it should be 5.7% at maximum). Consider adding more text.
* Number of words: You use 8 words in the IMG ALT attributes but you should use more words. Use at least 16
words.

* Search engines need text to index your web pages, to determine the theme of your web site and to produce a site summary. They cannot read what is written on your graphical images or in a Flash movie. Google recommends to create a useful, information-rich site. Fresh, continuously updated content is one of the best ways to ensure that search engines return to your web site (and your visitors, too). Your web page "http://www.email-resources.net/" contains only 118 words. It is strongly recommended to add more text to your web page.
