Default Radioplay site

I want to receive your opinions on my website called Radioplay Contests at Radioplay Contests - Index

I know that the header needs some work and that it's not xhtml-valid yet. Other than those two things, what else would you recommend?

Thanks to everyone who post in a review.

I don't like it.
I feel as if I have landed in the middle of the website.
It needs a traditional homepage that is inviting and tells me what the site is all about.

Not sure about the color scheme. Very cold. Offputting.

Thanks for your honest feedback Dave. Can you recommend me where I should put the site description? Should I put it below the logo or on the right side of the logo? Should it be in a txt format or an image format?
