New Sports Website...
Hey everyone I'm new here but it looks like a pretty friendly place.
Anyway, I was wondering if you could give me your opinions on my new website. It's a sports website
with a bit of everything (blog, news, videos, forums etc). Check out the link below.
TalkAllSport.com : Sports Blog, News, Videos, Articles, Forums - All in one place, All sports.
Any thoughts are welcome good or bad.
Thanks in advance.

Great idea but in my personal opinion, logo design is not enough "sport", also colors of website is a bit classical, adding flashing colors like red will make your site more dynamic. Look at espn and other sport portal, they use colors that catch your eyes on it.

Hey steveteva thanks for your review. I agree with the logo and colors, I'm working on both of them at the moment.
A red is a likely option I think.
Thanks again

Re: New Sports Website...
Colors definitely have to go. Not that they are bad colors, just bad choices for a sports page.
I don't get the purpose of the site. All of the links seem to take you off-site. Once I leave to go to nfl.com, or youtube, I'm not coming back. I notice that you have a few article links that keep you on-site, but that seems to be it. This site seems to be merely a link point for Pro sports' main sites. How do you benefit from this?

I agree with steveteva. A more active image and color scheme would bring it to life.

Re: New Sports Website...
I agree with the other comments about color and purpose. The feel is that the site is "all over the place." The menu across the top has interesting functionality. It changes for News, disappears for Forums, and stays on Home for the others. In News, the News Links and Quick News Links are basically the same. For Quick News Links, one might expect latest scores, for example. In Forums, I clicked on Board Index at the top and nothing happened. In Forums, under Front Page Articles, "tat" should be "that." Also, I wouldn't advertise that there are only 5 members at this point. You might want to wait a while to let everyone know how many members there are.

OK well there are now less exit links. All right menu stuff is now internal.
New color scheme. Red, grey, white... more sporty???
jxw: Menu fixed. And did you click on the board index when you were on the board index page? If so thats why nothing would happen. tat is now that.
Thanks everyone.

the sportiest color scheme in existence is blue and yellow (37 Swedes can't be wrong)...blue and amber is nice too. Gold and purple if you want to be a regal sporto.
I love all sports....looking forward to your growth...

Just so that you know on my browser I am seeing the squares. I think you might want to go with charset=ISO-8859-1
That's your call of course and I suppose it depends on your audience.
But I like the concept though, I love sports too.....

Re: New Sports Website...
Is it possible to add a data feed of live scores/today's scores from some source? Migth be a good way to get people coming back over and over and then of course they will start posting? Just a thought....
