Hiya everyone this is my first shop site Spunwood - Home, and I designed for my father. He designs segmented wood turned vases and bowls. He will also design pieces on commission and has made unique pieces for weddings and birthday presents.

I used the paypal system in conjunction with the shopping cart setup program to design the shop for this site. It should be now working correctly but I'd like some people to test it out and tell me how it works for them and what they thought of the experience of using the site.

The first thing is that you may want to disguise your email. If you don't, get ready for lots of SPAM.

Other than that, it's clean, crisp, easy to navigate (Nice work by the way). You may want to include a conversion system for currency unless you're just planning on selling your items in the UK.

Thanks for the very helpful comment. How do I disguise the email address and not lose that communication link? I'm well used to getting tonnes of SPAM at this stage with two of my own websites up online.

Thanks a lot its nice to here comments like that from fellow designers. Its not full W3C but I don't think that matters too much I just want people to have a good experience on the site and be able to buy my fathers excellent work.

What made you think I was in the UK? It says Ireland all over the website and the prices are in euros not pounds sterling. How do I include a currency conversion system? We plan to sell to anyone who wishes to buy no matter where they live.

It's minimal and it works.

You might want to look at a little search engine optimising. Making more use of <h1> tags and page titles. "Home" is a wasted oportunity. As is the alt tag on home page "framehome"??

The text on the home page is short. Could be longer and contain some search terms/keywords.

If you cleaned up the code, it would validate: 5 errors on the home page...

I have done a little bit of SEO with the use of keywords. My dad isn't the best at writing things don't and I don't know his business well enough to write too much myself, but a kick up the arse should have helped. He doesn't understand about SEO of course so I've tried my best so far, with more to come.

I'll make those corrections as you suggested.
