Well we launched our new site design a couple of months ago and a few days ago put the finishing touches on 320 unique car reviews, so here it is...
Private Fleet - New Car Broker Fleet Discounts new cars buying service motor dealer novated leases australia hybrid : Private Fleet : Any feedback greatly appreciated! Thanks |

This page Private Fleet - Manufacturers we work with : Private Fleet : is weird.
1. Names are so small I can't read them. 2. Lexus is just a dash. 3. Jeep is underlined twice. 4. Porsche is in a different font. I think you need more car photos to spice up a boring site. Useful, well organized, but boring.

It took way too long to load! I tried to click on some of the car specific links (ie audi, bmw) and they again took way too long to load. YOu get to the page and see a bunch of links (audi a4, etc.). That's a big turn off, where are teh images of teh cars???
I don't like the little feature where the ... starts flashing. I don't think I would call the links around your site as "Hot Links." There are not enough images on the site...it's very boring. The steps are listed which could be a nice feature; but again, limited information and very boring/ugly images next to each corressponding step. |

This page:
1) Private Fleet - Links and Resources : Private Fleet :Get rid of the (click here) -- (click here) --(click here) --(click here) You should simply link the entire phrase. 2) Under TIPS- What are these mystery photos? Either clarify what they are or why they are there or get rid of them. The first rule of design is (If it doesn't read, it doesn't work) 3) In the bottom of the page the roll-over reveal color effect is too slow. Doesn't make any usability sense. 4) Over all the site is clean, but I agree with an earlier comment that it could use more photos (eye candy). It looks empty or incomplete. Keep pushing those pixels! Rick |

Thanks heaps guys... lots of constructive criticism there.
davebarnes thanks for your feedback on the Manufacturers page, however I don't see what you are referring to in Points 2,3 and 4?? Strange, they all look pretty consistant to me. However I do agree with your point about font size & will attend to that. Thanks! Ashukairy, can you be specific as to which pages take long to load? For me they seem to be up in a flash. Probably an ignorant question but it wouldn't be because the site is hosted in Australia would it so therefore it would take longer for people in US to load (i expect this is prob a naive question!). I agree with your comment re the make pages (eg Nissan cars review : Private Fleet :) this is something we're working on at the moment. Flasing ... - agreed, will scrap this thing. Dodgy images on "How it works" page , yes you're right - any ideas where I can get some professional neat looking icons? Rick, 1) sure - good idea. 2) i think you mean on the links & resources page yeah - in which case point taken & i'll source some better icons. 3) the rollover seems to happen v quick for me - you're right no usability purpose but we wanted to show there credible alliances in some way but not take away from our own brand by having heaps of colour on the homepage. Paul - can you give me any examples? I ran a checker against it the other day and all seemed good? So thanks again guys for your obvious consideration and time to make these replies - will keep working on it and try and jazz it up a bit.. If you'd like me to repay the favour and do the same wioth your sites, let me know would be happy to. Cheers Dave |

Thanks Dave,
Made those changes. Funny it looked OK in IE but when I downloaded Firefox to have a look I saw all the probs. I never realised that the browsers could reveal such differences... Will make my way through and address all those other critiques as well so thanks guys. Just one thing though - the speed thing that a couple of people have commented on. Could this be a geography thing? IE relative to the distance between user and where the site is hosted? For me it's fast as - faster than WPW for example...?? Cheers dave |

Page is much better.
I am not having a speed problem.
