Default Pretty Please, could you review my site?

Hi,

I am kind of pulling at straws when I look to make improvements to my site Phytosolution.com

Ive been online for a while but only had the back end of my business in operation for a relatively short time. I know the site needs work, or at least i feel it needs work, but am really just unsure where to dedicate my efforts and find that I start chasing my tail...

I would really love if you guys could help me direct my efforts.

Thanks so much,
Aaron

I found it difficult to focus on the top menu buttons. They look fuzzy even though they are not.

The green background on the left menu is way too hot for me.

Body text should not touch the left menu background.

Overall, it does not look elegant. I would try using some of the colors of the French stores.

You've put your finger on it. My site doesn't really give me the feeling of elegance either, what would you recommend in that direction?

Typographically it’s messy and for me the links in general need to be more prominent and consistent.

Bring more products onto the homepage because at first glance it looks like you only have two and it’s the products (images) that will draw people into the site.

Generally it needs a design overhaul to make it look more solid and trustworthy. Perhaps even some customer’s statements could help.

“My Mojo was once again revived thanks to the bottle of Sexual tonic for Men”

You have two photos from Paris: Herboristerie de la Place Clichy and Herboristerie d'Hippocrate

I would use these to create a more elegant design
.

I would also redo your logo in Ilustrator and ditch some of the cute Photoshop effects.

Great feedback guys, thanks.

I'm going to need to get a little more accustomed to my stylesheet, and take a look at some of the font and typography issues.

I will also fire up Photoshop and rework some of the art, its hard, for beginners to know where to draw the line for some of that cutesy stuff. I think it may be difficult for me to emphasize the culture of the boutiques in a general way on the site and still keep it feeling modern (or at least somewhat current )
