Default Need Your Help & Advice

I did not design this site but I'm doing some SEO and Marketing for it.

Could you please give me some input and how you think the site reads, accessability and overall structure.

It would be very appreciated.

It's in an extremely tight niche market and therefore every visitor counts.

1. Use external JavaScript.

2. Your tittle tags and description tags on each page should be:
a. different from each other
b. unique and relevant to the particular page

Excellent advise and it will be part of my SEO. How did you feel about the overall design of the site and the ease of navigation. Is it user friendly too little info or too much?

Well, from a feel standpoint, the home page is very, very cluttered, and the fact that you have your "featured articles" highlighted before you introduction content and text is poor organization.

Switching your menus to text based, reducing your code bloat by removing JS to external files and moving to CSS will improve load time, and overall quality and functionality.

This is of course, just a start and much more is needed to improve the overall feel of and function of the site.

Hi

I do not see any calls to action. You need to push people to get them to do what you want online.

Another issue is if you are doing SEO, you might want to study keyword research and link building.

You dropped a link nobody uses to do a search.

Wordtracker

Overture

Next time try just 'precious metals'

Ok.

I agree with all above on design, look and feel. I haven't a clue what the site is about. But maybe I am being thick.

The html is a mess and doesn't validate and this is an absolute must these days. Over 133 errors on home page. You have not specified a DocType so no guarantee that there will be cross browser compatibility. I suggest 4.01 html but you will also need to change your metag endings to ">" from "/>"

Result for http://www.preciousmetalswarrants.com/ - W3C Markup Validator

Of course, the Javascript needs to be off page but that has been stated before. Your use of the attribute - <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript"> is wrong and should read <script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript"></script>

Back to the drawing board, I am afraid.

Cheers

Ian

Thanks for the feedback. It's about what I figured when I saw the code. I will be using Wordtracker for keywords and I also use IBP. Since I'm not the designer I will have the owner have him look at his code.

Can anyone tell me how the text looks. Too small? Should it be bigger?

Colors? Do they need a change or are you alright with them?

With such a small niche market everything needs to be done to keep people at the site and that's my goal/job.

The text looked fine to me and is adjustable through my browser and the colors were okay for me. I found the flash to be a little distracting.

There should be an opening paragraph to let visitors know what to expect from this site.

The page was too long. The ‘Subscribe Now’ buttons are on there twice. These would probably do better on their own page with a link to them. Even with those buttons removed, this page might be considered a bit long.

In my opinion, the text on the FAQ page needs reformatting. Look around at other sites to get an idea of how best to display this info in a scheme which is easy to read at a glance. WPW has a simple but effective FAQ page to give you an idea of what I mean.

Home page - The underlined text(non-link) is typically a bad idea.
