Default Opinions needed

Hi guys, first of all Im new here so go easy on me

The last 10 days i have had appaling sales to say the least and im getting a tad bit worried! If people could just take a look when they get time and tell me (especially the watches section) if anything at all would put you off if you where a customer - all opinions are appreciated and i will work on any feedback given - my shop url is Armani Watches for men and women plus a wide selection of jewellery and watches armani

P.s - The url just appeared like that for some reason? I hope you dont think im spamming because all i entered was the domain! Weird
Thanks to anyone who takes the time to look

Jon

1. The forum automatically puts your title tag in the visible part of a link. Not to worry.

2. I hate the auto-translate buttons as they return garbage. I mean that you supposedly translate your site into Française, but the prices are still in Pounds Sterling.

3. You are obviously a UK-based store. So, if I click on the USA flag, then I expect to see prices in $ USD, not £. And, the same goes for the EMS zone.

4. I always harp on this: Contact Us should provide physical and postal and phone data.

5. You have no "trust indicators" on your website.

6.
This is silly: "[shipping] Rest Of The World £9,99". The average person living in the USA does not know whether a pound is a nickel or $50. And, what is with the comma? We Americans use decimal points (full stops) as God intended.

I quite like the design, looks clean and professional. I think a 'Home' button would be nice as clicking the 'welcome' button is not that obvious to get home.

Paypal does not always inspire confidence in online shoppers especially when buying expensive items such as this and I suspect I am going to be taken off site to enter my details.

I also agree with Dave on the translations. Could you get rid of the translation buttons and perhaps just have a small link to other languages? I guess it depends how much you sell to these countries.

A small design point but this just may be me....I think it would be much better if the 'buy now' buttons where underneath the photos rather than above.

Is your SEO okay? are you getting traffic but not many sales? do you do PayPerClick?

Hope this helps!

I have done quite a bit of seo work on the site and it is getting visitors, it was doing really well for 11 days solid and then ive got a massive lull in sales which i find odd! I do agree with paypal and its just a temporary measure until i get setup with a merchant

Overall I like the lclean ook of the site.

I only have comments for minor issues. Everyone before me has pointed out the bigger stuff.

I would use an image editor and remove the whitespace in the middle of the two rings so that it matches the banner background.

I do notice in FF and IE7 that your index page body is slightly larger than other sections of the site. I would guess that it is the D&G image that is causing it.

I see that you can manually select the currency to be displayed, but I did not notice it until about the third time I returned to look at the design. Maybe you can highlight the area somehow so it is noticeable.

Maybe it is just me, but the account creation buttons seem out of place. They are nice, but not consistent throughout the site, the same goes for the help button in the top banner. It looks like it was added afterwards. The line above it is not quite right.

My only comment for the drop in sales is that maybe people ran out of money, or its in between paypays.

I think your site's layout is excellent...

Actually, one of the better sites I've seen recently..

Clean, cool icons, professional looking...I've seen sites that do
$30MM+ that are waay worse...I wouldn't change a thing..

The "Help" button at the top of the page is distorted.

You might consider left justifying the center paragraph on the home page, It's too hard to read as it is.

Make the all of the section headers in the left menu look the same. The top three sections use right aligned text while the "payment methods" is a graphic.

While the layout is clean, you might consider adding some colour to the section headings. Few elements in the page jump out at the user amid all the grey tones.

Make your page headings larger and a different colour. As it stands, the "Privacy Policy" page heading would be more helpful to your users were it inside some styled <h1></h1> tags. In terms of SEO, you'd soon find that adding the <h1> tags would prove to be very beneficial.

The links in the navigation menu would benefit from underlining or some other means of differentiation.
