Great Barrier Island New Zealand accommodation and information directory is now three years old and hopefully much improved. I'm rather puzzled and bemused with html so I know there are errors there and one day I hope to sort them out. Meanwhile any input would be appreciated. Also, haven't managed to get my head around style sheets but I'm working on it.

Nice images on banner but they could look more attractive if brightened/sharpened up a little.

I would put your Contact link on every page.

I do like the way your 1st page copy has a link to ...more - rather than making the reader scroll down for more, but do you really need the blue border & coloured background? The border makes the page look smaller, when I think your pages would look better made a larger/wider.

- Magazine Articles about Great Barrier Island - you don't need to underline Magazine Articles, that just makes it look like a link, when the links are actually underneath.

The info at the bottom of the page will look less conspicuous if you centre it, & make a bigger space above it.

My first reaction was "boring". Here you have one of the most beautiful vacation spots in the world and yet there is no excitement on the homepage.

You are doing well with content.

You need to "spiff up" the design.

Learn about styles. Learn about controlling font size, color, etc. Then use an external style sheet. Do waste a lot of energy learning about how to position elements with styles. That aspect of styles sheets is tricky and browsers have differing behaviors.

Consider using a better HTML editor.
