Default Allow me to introduce myself. . .

My name is Dennis, and I am a technical writer in the automation industry. I have been "chipping away" at our company's stagnant web site, and would like to know what you think of our current site, and also am open to suggestions for future pages. The product we manufacture is custom-made to each particular application, if this is any help in suggesting updates to our site. Please give us a look:

Default suggestions

I've said this before and I'll say it again.. I'm no expert, but I do have a few suggestions. The first thing I noticed when visiting your site is that you have to scroll down just to find the drop-down navigation menus. This is probably a bad idea since most people don't enjoy scrolling down. It's been my experience that you have to get people's attention within a few seconds of loading your site, and if your navigation menus are all the way at the bottom of the page, that just isn't going to happen!

You should always put the most valuable information at the top of the page. The "Wanted: Manufacturing Representatives" announcement should definitely be closer to the top. You might also want to consider a navigation bar across the top or along the side of your page for easier navigation.

Fancy page transitions really aren't necessary. People aren't used to them, and they get boring - even annoying - after a while. I personally would rather have the next page load as quickly as possible, without trying to look like a Powerpoint Project. Also, perhaps it's just my computer, but your fonts look HUGE. It might not hurt to tone them down a little by decreasing them a size or two.

Good Luck! :)

Default not professional

Hello,

Your site is so cheesy for a professional company! you need to get rid of them little javascript things. I know they're cute but they're for blog pages and not for business sites.

It does look a bit dated, i'd suggest if you haven't got much idea for design, buy or use free templates as you could be giving the wrong impression.
