Default waterfuelconverters.com recent Inprovements

Its been a couple of months since of worked on waterfuelconverters.com, but I decided to clean up a couple of things. I added long due height and width attributes to the images, I replaced some of the images in the left column, I added the new image in the first box in the right column (a little custom image editing), and most important I've improved the copy.

Upon first glance, what is your impression of the websites goals?
The website is the internet presence of a consulting service business that I started in College. Obviously the website also provides information that I've gathered during my research and studies at school.

Does the concept of fuel enhancement come across clearly?

Are there any questions that you have that are not clearly answered on the website?

The goal of the website is to provide understanding. Viewers should leave the website with a comprehensive understanding of fuel enhancement methodology, electrolysis technology, and the consulting services provided by my business.

What I see is shown at http://www.marketingtactics.com/waterfuelconverters.jpg

Using Firefox 2 under Mac OS 10.4.9 (AdBlockPlus is turned OFF).

I have a miserable CSS glitch that does not allow for complete liquid layout. I have tinkered with it for ages, but was never able to fix the dam glitch. It is extremely frustrating to have this silly glitch for such a long time.

Dave, wanna take a crack at fixing the CSS. Obvious this would be a paid consultation as per your business.

This is obviously an issue with accessibility. I do strive for 100% accessibility.

Cool Re: waterfuelconverters.com recent Inprovements

Its nice and clean. Not hard on the eye for me. I didn’t read each and every word on your site but one question from my scanning is; do you provide consulting only or products and site management? Overall, very nice with the suggestion of more call to action.

Here is what I think, your site looks good, it is very clean, colors are good etc... But you have this problem with the fluid design. I say screw trying to perfect a fluid design working around dozen of hacks and bug fixes for IE this and that and give your brain a rest. Sure people will tell you fluid is the pure way to go but you could seriously pull all your hair out trying to get it perfect then along comes a browser upgrade and you need to hack at it again.

Dave Barnes is completely right, he reviews a lot of sites and is spot on most of the time. You just need to decide what is it worth to your to have a "fluid design."

The site looked great to me in IE6, IE7 and FF.

I agree, and I am not totally taring my hair out over the liquid layout issue, but Dave pointed out that the website does not view properly on Safari at all. I've been playing with the CSS and www.browsrcamp.com all day long to no avail.

I wonder if its Mac in general, or just the Safari browser. browsrcamp.com only gives the free option to test Safari on Mac, and not other browsers. Can someone verify if the website loads fine on Firefox on Mac? If its just a Safari browser conflict I will be able to iron down more precisely what the issue is.

Now, it looks fine in Firefox 2 under Mac OS X.

And, it looks OK under Safari (which I almost never use).

My feeling is that CSS is great for setting font sizes and colors and SHOULD NEVER BE USED FOR POSITIONING (because of the browser variations).

Of course, you will come back and say: I did not change anything. And, that is why I won't use CSS for positioning.

To address your original questions. "Does the site convey the message?" Yes, it does. Now, if you can just get Wikipedia to allow an entry on "water fuel".

Ehh, I have given up trying to convince people of my research. All I can do is provide the best information possible via an attractive and professional website.
