I did not have jerky scrolling.
But, I did not see your menus.
I surf with Firefox 2 under Mac OS X and have AdBlockPlus installed. Therefore, I don't see Flash items until I scroll down. I would not use Flash for the menu, I would use images and a DHTML menu (for example, Milonic menu).

My site uses Flash and the flash can cause jumpy scrolling but as to why I am not sure.

I am viewing in IE and there is some jerking but not too much.

Try asking in the Flash forum.

It's your navigation. Don't do it in flash, the active content reeks havoc on IE. If you open the page and remove the active content on all your nav buttons, you will see how easy the page scrolls.

thanks for the info, now what a pain I liked the flash because I can edit the button and change the link and then just upload the button and it would change every page.

I have over 200 pages to change manually that's a bummer!

Maybe I should use libraries in Dreamweaver??

thanks,

Nick

Don't use DW libraries.
Use Server Side Includes instead. Much easier to use, much easier to maintain.

You can create a menu using CSS (and Daves' suggestion of includes files is also a top tip) that not only will load faster, but will give you the priceless benefit of being easily read (and more importantly followed) by search engine spiders. My favourite (no, I don't own it ) site for this kind of thing is Stu Nicholls site at http://www.cssplay.co.uk. Flash is for really complex stuff that you CAN'T achieve any other way. Menus don't qualify as that.
Best
