Joshua,

Your site makes good use of color and images to create a very professional appearance. I did have a problem reading the text though. The links (webdesign, etc.) are visually appealing, but they are squashed to point where I had to really concentrate to read them. You should also consider a larger font on your inside pages. A font size = 1 is generally considered to be a bad choice.

The content of your site is actually much better than we normally see on website designer sites. You do need to spend some time working on your search engine positioning.

Good luck with your design business.

I also found the text hard to read, especially the font you used for your headings, maybe if you made it bigger or changed it, and on your pages, I would make the text just a little bit bigger, but it's a good looking site, and everything is easy to understand-Derek

Default Font Size

I see that many do not like the font size, yet does it take away from the nice transition from page to page if the font is enlarged. If you change the font the site changes size. Please help...

Default Great

I had no problem reading the page (perhaps it has been updated) and from my point of view I thought it looked very professional.

Josh,
I like the simplicity of your site. It is very clean, good use of color and at 1280 resolution on a 21" monitor, I have no problem at all in reading your text.

A couple things I noticed:

The "About Us" page has a different heading font than the rest of the site. Either way looks good, but you need to stay consistent with the design. So change that page or all the others to reflect the about us page.

I would strongly recommend moving to a style sheet for your fonts instead of the tags. It will be easier to update and work better in the long run.

I can understand the concern about the site size. As it is you have to scroll on an 800x600 res with all browser toolbars open to see the text links you added. So to keep the look of the site without having to scroll the browser you will have to choose between going to scrolling flash for the content, frames, or breaking you content down to create more pages. The reason I mention this is because the multimedia and hosting pages are way to crowded and the info pages for hosting need to be made to reflect the rest of the site design. (Just as a side note: I offered hosting as well at one time. And you would be best to just let people know that you can offer hosting for your design clients instead of offering packages as you are. You are way out of the ballpark for current costs and will not make many sales from those shopping for a deal.)

You have a great design going. Content, or the lack there of in some places, is going to be your biggest challenge.

Best of luck.

Thanks Scott for your help.

I will make those changes and try to figure out how I can stay away from more flash yet not so compress looking.
