Default Your opinion would be Appreciated!

I own the site http://www.hbonline.com it is a community information site and it is the #1 site for HB not bad EH?

anyways I have been tweaking my site to eventually go video instead of banners and text links and have designed two mock pages and I would like your opinion on which format you like better.

The first one is: http://www.hbonline.com/restaurants/index.htm

and the second design is: http://www.hbonline.com/videoguide

I think I like the first one, that way I can keep my buttons on the left and keep my leaderboard ans skyscraper ads.

I am goint to put a DHTML drop down menu for the links so don't judge on the navigation, as I don't care for the buttons below the video window.

We do all the video production ourselves.

thanks

Nick

I'll go with you on the first one but the large buttons and images are making it difficult to read.

IMHO

thanks, I have my browser resolution settings at 1280 X 1024 so everything looks fine to me.

If you're set at 800 X 600 it will look big, but most people are set at least 1024 X 768 (at least a 17 inch monitor)

plus my page is designed at a width of 876 pixels wide so at 800 X 600 it won't fit in your browser.

I chose on purpose to alienate 800 X 600 people since it is only 0.8% of my viewers. I rather make it look good the the massess.
