Tested in IE6 56k modem 800x600. Sit is a bit slow to load particularly the larger graphics. I would perhaps not use black as a background. Opening splash screen seems a bit wordy and some of the content is duplicated on the main page. Photo gallery looks good but again is slow to load. Otherwise, looks good. Good luck with it.

Default Thanks, Nick!

I appreciate your time and your comments. Must point out that I changed my colors from a light green to the black background and immediately doubled my income. It's hard to argue with those numbers. Of course, other things changed, too. But the primary changes were to put the large photo of the stream on the splash page, add descriptive text geared to searches beneath the large image, and change the background to black.

My husband balked at the black background, too, but the checking account has spoken eloquently for it. I have tried several different optimization programs to reduce the size of the initial image, but at 79K, that's about the best I've been able to get. Since it's 700x500, it's been a bear. Suggestions welcome!

My greatest challenge now is navigation, I think.

I find the overall design to be pleasent and fairly easy to navigate. I think the warmth of the site could be improved with a different color background. Of course that may just be me. I have never cared for black backgrounds. Overall good job!

I like the black background.

The page is large on my 15" monitor and I
have to scroll right, I do not enjoy seeing part
of a page.

When I enter, I just click on enter on left
side of my monitor and miss everything (on the
bottom) except the picture. I think your
site looks good.

Default Timber Wolf Creek Website

I think the site is well done. I like the black background. I also like the photo borders, it's tough to get pictures to look good on a page without being in a box.

One point. The first page, you have an enter button, then more information below it. I think intro pages should be seen on one page and then enter. Otherwise you are sometimes lured into a site before seeing the rest of the info. If you want to keep the information, put it elsewhere in the site or have the enter link at the bottom of the information. Overall a great site!! Keep the black..listen to your bank account!

I really like the web site. Usually I am not fond of black backgrounds, but it really works on your site.

And I love the font you used for your navigational links (welcome, guest etc) what font is that?

Default website critique

I like it!

And..here are just a quick couple of suggestions:

1) try to stay with just two fonts, and two colors.
I am saying this not because I didn't like what
I saw, but that is advice that I have read in
almost every website design book.

2) Please change Welcome to "Home" as we all identify with that as the starting page. I wasn't sure at first how to get back to Home, until it dawned on me that it was the Welcome page.

3) If it is working for you, then that is great...maybe you shouldn't make any changes.

There are really too many irrelevant pictures to start with. The area is beautiful, and that certainly is a big drawing card, but I hated to have to keep on looking at more and more pictures to see what the inside of the place looks like. That should be near the beginning of your photos. Also, I'd like to know what kind of breakfast is served. Perhaps it is on your site, but I really didn't have time to explore every nook and cranny.

Beautiful design at top of page....the first glimpse is very impressive. I just very much dislike this "Enter" thing...what is this? I have already entered. Don't ask me to enter again. (And most web design books will tell you the same thing.)

I hope my input has helped in some way. But the important thing is whether or not you are being seen on the web, and making money as a result!
