I expect to be able to click on the logo in the upper left and go to the homepage.

I would remove the W3C logo on the homepage as it is not relevant to your audience.

You have a good point that most of us like to click on the logo to goto homepage. We will take it as an important suggestion.

The site is clean and a good layout.

A few things:
There is a lot of unnecessary metatags and comment
tags (for SEO, I assume) in your html code.

The menu is javascript based, so it may not function
if the viewer has jave turned off.

I was surprised to see a list of student names on
the site. Are there any "privacy" issues with
listing student names?

Watch the files sizes of your image files.... a few are fairly large and can take a while to download.
