Default New Site - Plese Review

Hello everyone,

Site to be reviewed: http://www.chataholic.org

I have the site running on wordpress engine now which provides me easy of use for information management. I want to go with something very simple, not image heavy, allowing it to be easily viewed by practically any browser, connection. I am not one for intensive graphic design, just a bit knowledgeable when it comes to PHP/MySql . The site is basically for a new IRC Network, that has been established for non XDCC/Warez.. etc, just a friendly place to chat. Im looking for reviews on, speed, display portability, on a verity of different browsers. I have mainly tested on, IE/Firefox/IE/Netscape and all seem to display well for me.

I look forward to your reviews. ( BTW I dont mind being bashed on, we all learn from our mistakes )

Went to: http://www.chataholic.org/forums/

The light grey on white is too light for my tastes. I would prefer more contrast.

Everywhere on the site, you need to (in my opinion) increase the contrast.

Why not trying to put some round corner on your 'header" menu to make it softer ?

You already use round corner that frame your site... It's personal, but I think that if you had the same style in your menu, your site will be more harmonized.
