Default please review my web site

We are a technology company. We have about 12,000 visits per year, but I am having difficulty converting these visits to leads, i.e. e-mail address, comapny, name, phone number.

I hit the homepage and couldn't tell where I was supposed to go next. I think you'll need some stronger calls to action placed throughout the site to get the leads you're looking for.

Brian.

Default web site review

Ok, so the idea is the hompage is information. The left side is pull downs for products. Deeper into that are spec sheets, which is where I ahve e-mail request. Sugestions?

brian.mark is correct...you need a call to action.

i look at the homepage, read the copy, say to myself 'oh, that's nice', and then i move on to another website.

take a look at some of your competitors sites...sites that are doing well. what makes them different? Get some of your friends to look at your site and ask them what they feel could improve it.

nice looking site tho...may want to beef up the contrast of text on the background.

Information doesn't sell... sales copy sells. I could give you all the information you ever needed about most anything, but if I never ask you to buy it, you never will.

Wow...at first I thought I hit an Armed Forces .gov recruiting site... I don't know what a Discriminator is...nor do I know what a Quantizer is... maybe display some images of your products instead of the US Navy/Air Force?

I guess you have got any idea of what to do next by now, but I would just like to reinforce the call to action statement. I am sure there are plenty of people out there who know what your site is about and will benefit from it's content, but I wasn't sure where to go from the home page and the only (very minor) indication that you would like to collect information about your visitors is the "contact us" button (which doesn't really do the trick). You need "sign up to our mailing list" or a similar statement in bold, eye catching letters near the top of the page if that is what you want people to do.

Maybe you could extend the navigation and have a mailing list subscription box as part of it so it appears on every page of the site? How about collecting just the email addresses for now, but try to gain further information about the people who have signed up for the newsletter once they have gained your trust? Not everybody likes to give their name and email address to sites they do not know, on your contact form, the name field is obligatory. I can understand why this is the case, but it may also be putting some people off. An email address would suffice to begin with, you could get more information later.

I hope this helps. I like the site design by the way, but I would like to see some of those pictures changing on the inner pages; it would help give each section its own feel.

Default Move links from bottom of pages

Mason,

Beautiful site. Great colors and graphics. Good layout.

I would move your links from the bottom of your product pages to the top.

My first thought, though you'll probably think of a better one, is to create a box under your World Class Technology banner to enclose your Contact Us link on the front page and Submit Your Criteria link/PDF link on the product pages.

I think this would generate some activity. It would say that you do custom work right off the bat, and make your Contact Us link more prominent on the front page.

Peace
