Hello everybody,

I am a "hobby" webmaster for a small silk flower shop. A lot of reading and trying for about a year now brought me to what I know so far. As far as I concern I did fairly good.
For some time now I am also reading the "webproworld" and became a member today.
I really would like to have my site reviewed and hear from you what else can be done with the pages.

http://www.absolutelyfabulousflowers.com

Thank you in advance,

Jurgen

Hi Jurgan,

I live in Aurora. It is nice to see something on this site from Colorado.

I've just looked at your home page. You have a width attribute, I think it was on td, that makes your page wider than the 1024 resolution that I'm using. I have been keeping my pages with within 800 px, since I think it is more or less a standard. You should at least stay within 1024.

Your hover is bold text, which makes the text following the links move on mouseover. If you make the hover text the same size, that won't happen.

It is a nice site, and an interesting business. Good luck with your site.

Default Thanks for the input

Thanks Vince for your input. I thought I had the pixels under control. I try to stay with 800 pixel, and work with tables. I also try to look at the pages with different resolutions before I upload to my server.
Obviously the pages are bigger on different machines. I will work on it and see what I can do. I for myself hate to scroll horizontaly.... :-)

The mouseover was intentionally done. Guess you don't like that... :-)

Thanks again,
Jurgen

First thing is you need a really nice looking logo

The menu on the left is to wide

I would work with the colors some on the site

I'm not big on the green background color

I would try for some type of nice nav button for the nav. bar under the logo to break the page up some.

I would try to stay with just two different font colors.

A lot of the stuff on the right side of the page could go to the bottom and give you more room for your text.

For the most part you have a nice clean looking site.

I think a picture on the home page would help

You were right, I changed it.

Any ideas what color would be good? I certainly wouldn't like plain white for my site.

Here I am thinking more for the SEs. I am hearing here on this forum that text links are the best....

Will see about this one.

I would rather have visitors see the 'subscription' and 'rating' place without scrolling down. I did however put a few more images to lighten it up a little bit.

Thanks again Janeth, I certainly appretiate all the input I can get.
