In my opinion, you have gone backwards from my last visit.
Courier New (in fact, any monofont) should not be used.

When resizing the text in FF it is a disaster.

Overall I like it.
There is a lot of information on there. It does run the risk of being disjointed. I like the grunge fonts, but I think that you sacrifice "readability" with it. A lot of things that I think should be links aren't, but that may be a phase thing. Some of the pages look messed up (tee-times.php), but again, it may not be done yet. Are you using Content Management? If not, you should consider it b/c of the amount of information to keep up with on this site. |

footer area:
Why are you mixing serif and sans serif fonts? Any reason why '2006-2007' is bold?

Get rid of: Built with XHTML 1.0 & CSS
Your prospects don't care. In fact, you are wasting their brain cycles that would be better spent looking at other items on your site. I see the bottom of the home button above the home button. Firefox 2 under Mac OS X. You have a bunch of underlined sentences under Ramblings. Yet, they are not links. I am confused. Lots of misspellings in this area. I don't understand the point of the entire block at the bottom: site navigation, etc. It is huge and ugly. The rest of each page is so much prettier.

I'm really confused. Most of what should be links according to context don't do anything. I can't login or register, as your input fields don't seem to be part of a form. The input fields persist on your Golf Real Estate and Golf Specials pages, with text overlapping from those pages.
Your sign up button seems to point to the right, where there's no place to sign up. Ditto Dave's comment about the home button in Firefox 2.0 under Windows; the effect seems to be the same for any selected tab on that row. |

I'm with tomlom, what appears to be links don't go anywhere?? none of the States are clickable?? Graphically the site is weak.
I would make your front page similar to a golf magazine, big photo text incorporated in design, and dare I say maybe flash. In the web world you judge a website by its cover (front Page) if it strikes a chord the viewer will investigate deeper. Later, Nick |

The site looks very nice for a start. However, there are a few things that I'd recommend you improve. The About NC Golfers, which is really your introduction to the site should be moved up the page so that people quickly ascertain what the site is all about. The navigation at the bottom also needs to be re-worked and moved up the page so the visitor can quickly and easily go where they want to right away without looking long. Visitors to sites make quick decisions. As the webmaster/designer it's your job to provide that access quickly and easily.
You might consider flipping your sign-up with the About us write-up. As you develop this site you might also want to keep in mind that people are going to "Ramble" about something on your site once they are interested in it and care about it enough to do so. As far as the text goes on the site-- Your writing needs to be improved. You might try making your points quickly and directly with short sentences at first. Overall, like I say it's a decent looking site, but obviously has a long way too go. Good luck with the development. |
