Default Advice & Help

Dear Friends,

I have launched a new website which allows users to associate keywords with their profile. I have managed to get ok traffic to come to the site but for some reason very few users are joining. I am very confused why more people are not joining. My site is: ez2findme.com.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I would very much appreciate your thoughts.

Thank you.

Zul

Your site is simple, clean and easy to read. But why "contact us" is not on top menu?

I suspect noone is joining because there are simply way too many directories already and one more just isn't needed. You need a much better differentiator than using keywords, which is hardly a new idea.

Hello Minthu,

I have looked at many sites and some have "Contact Us" at the top others have it at the bottom... I don't see any kind of consistency out there. I simply decided to put it at the bottom because I felt it better aligned with the Privacy and other items at the bottom. Do you think it makes a difference?

Hello Dave,

Thanks for the feedback. I agree that there are many directories out there. However, there are two differences to what Ez2FindMe offers compared to other directories. Perhaps, these are not coming across on the site:

1) Members can associate keywords with their directory entries which others can search on. And while this may not be a new idea, I don't see services that offer the ability where you can associate keywords with your contact information in order to make it easy for others to find you.

2) Members have complete control over their information and they can update it themselves.

Also, while other directories and yellow pages do offer some level of categorization, it is usually something that they determine and you are at their mercy. With Ez2FindMe, you get to specify the keywords that you determine to be important. Most other directories also don't allow you to update your contact information.

Thanks again for the feedback.

Regards,

Zul

Attractive site but build quality leaves a lot to be desired. No DocType specified. Many HTML markup errors.

Javascript should be off page. Use of tables for layout is not really best practice these days.

css has 9 errors (mainly all in body code)

Lots still to do then.

Default Just a heads up Iany....

You misspelled optimization on the heading of your home page...
You pointed out a number of detail items for zulsidi, so I wanted to see what your output was...
You might want to fix that.. just thinking...
lots of work to be done....

LOL... just having fun, we all throw stuff out there and hope to make something stick.

Optimisation is not incorrect. It is the UK spelling. optimization and optimisation are both correct.
