Default Frustrated with Homestead site - Got visitors, but no sales

We've rebuilt our site using Homestead.com, a big company allied with Quickbooks- ought to be reliable, right? But WC3 cannot validate the site though.

The real problem is that we are getting hits on the site, but nobody is buying anything. These are targeted hits from search engines, so presumably the viewer is interested in what we sell, but they aren't buying - no one! Yes, we've checked that the cart works.

We realize most people have the opposite problem- can't get people to go to the site. We've got 'em coming, but can't sell to 'em. Interested in ideas on why no one buys. Can you help?

Site is http://www.aoGiftShop.com

"But WC3 cannot validate the site though."

This has ZERO impact on whether or not you are selling items.

Your site is functional.
Looks OK.
Easy to navigate.
Easy to buy.
Contact Us page has postal address and phone number.

Therefore, not selling is caused by:
a. the wrong product
b. the wrong price

I can't talk to either of these as I am not at all in the demo for these types of items.

Default costs??

I had a look at your site and it is very well presented and easy to navigate ..I think you have a few problems
1.. almost all items have a price deduction which gives the impression of desperation (which I can understand if your not selling)
2..You don't give the buyer any idea of shipping costs in your adverts for items
3..Sorry buddy but it seems you cant even give things away
Example Valentines Day Photo Clock
This is an example of a Valentines Day Photo Clock
PRICE: $0.00
I havnt been home to the states for a while and cant compare prices but yours do seem a little expensive
Good luck
