I agree its ugly but personally i was trying to get away from this blue and white and silver and something more satisfying to artists and poets howevever the members have a choice of 100 skins to choose from when they join
No not many members yet but forums take a while to take off ..I do have other forums and groups and they took a while to gather members but now are flourishing

It is not attractive and the header is worst. You may try a better design or use free great themes.
