Default NetMechanics worth the Money???

I was browsing and saw NetMechanics--they seem to have some intriguing tools, but for a couple HUNDRED bucks, I thought I'd ask around first. Some of the advice on these places--I've found--can actually hurt your rankings...

And if anyone wants to take a look at my site to see if it would benefit (or any other comments), I'd appreciate any input.

I would not buy because:

1. I have to worry about 20+ websites. So, that is $199 x 20. No thank you.

2. I don't want anything "changing" my code "automatically".

3. Plenty of free tools out there.

Default What Free Tools are best?

Thanks for the input--I also webmaster multiple sites!

What tools would you recommend beyond Widexl--which is the main one I use (plus an HTML Validator). Widexl seems to have some issues--like large webpages time out consistently and sometimes it seems their algorithms don't move me up at all--sometimes even down. It's been enough to motivate me to check out OTHER options.

sooooooooooo much stuff to click on. You need to focus the website a little better in my opinion.

just a thought;

instead of spending time scouring the net for tools to fix/improve your websites, why not spend the time honing your own skills and learn to do it properly?
