Submit Your Site For Review Need a fresh set of eyeballs to take a look at your site? Have a specific issue or question about some aspect of your layout, design or interface? This is the forum for you. When submitting your site, be sure to discuss what aspect you are looking for input on. Just posting a link with the word 'review' isn't appropriate.

Default Could you review my site?

Hey all,

I run our band's website at http://www.3amfever.com and wanted a review on it.

Per the sticky, I have checked the following sites:

Check your site at http://www.sitereportcard.com and keep tweaking until you get 'perfect' on all checks.

--> Low scores on load times, this is something I'll ask later in this post.

Check your site at http://validator.w3.org and don't stop tweaking until your site validates. Flash insertion probably exempt(?).

-->Passed.

Check your site on http://www.instantposition.com for the first 5 of your keywords.

-->Scored 30+

Check your site on http://bobby.watchfire.com/bobby/html/en/index.jsp

-->Some warnings?

The first page you go to will have an animated start. This will eventually be a flash. Yes, I know flash splash pages are BAD, but I think they're more standard in the music industry. I feel like they draw in the visitor, and visitors can always skip the intro if they don't want to see it.

Mainly I want to know if the site draws you in, entices you to stay. Also, any ideas how can I fit more information above the fold? I'd like to have more smaller boxes, like a poll, fresh updates from the forum, etc. Thirdly, any ideas how I can cut down on load times? They're pretty horrendous right now, but I feel like I'd have to sacrifice visual aesthetics to achieve fast load times, and that a part of what draws people to our music.

Finally, how easy to read/use do you feel the navigation is? Thanks!

You could get more above the fold by reducing the size of your header. Why are the menu buttons on two lines, wasting all that valuable space? Why is your text so big?

You talk about local venues etc. but there's not even a clue about what country you're from. Not even on your contact page. From some of the pictures I might guess the USA but noone new is going to book you unless they have some idea where you are, how far you'll travel, etc.

The site layout looks OK but more pictures and some performance video would help get you noticed. Sound quality on the tracks is poor.

You sound like a relic from the 70's (which is fine by me). Johnny Rotten is alive and well and living in...

Best of luck.
