Hello everybody. Check out my site http://www.seaaboveus.com/ and let me know what you think. Try to ignore the fact that the main page is a different layout than the rest of the site. Thanks so much!

Hi Alex,

I like that you have a video clip on your homepage and some pictures of your products. I think it's really eye-catching and helps with the explaination of what your site is all about. I think your site is okay, but here are the areas I think you could really improve on:
  • *The homepage content is good, but a bit long. I'd have a shorter description and save the long and detailed stuff for another page. This is just to give the user a taste of what you're all about.

*I personally don't think you need to list all of the product types on the homepage. It's a little distracting and I'm not sure if I should click on the left or the top navigation.

*I don't think you necessarily need to tell your users your site is under Construction, unless the pages aren't working.

*I know you said to ignore the site set-up being different from the homepage... so long as you don't keep them different!

*The Products page ant the AN Balance page are the same, is that intentional?

*The left nav is confusing. Usually it would change out to be specific to whichever page I'm on, but yours is the same all the time. It gives the user too many places to click without any diretion. I'd keep the product category list to the Products page, the Info links to the Information page, etc.

*I don't think each pages title needs to be "Welcome to the ______ Page". If the user click on Products, make the header Products.
Best to you!

Since you are using xhtml you need to close your meta tags and image tags with /> rather than >

for example:

[img]images/index_07.jpg[/img] should be

[img]images/index_07.jpg[/img]

This is flagging numerous errors on the w3c validator.

I'm on dial up -- two minute load time for home page.

Your header image is awesome -- it's just too big. It takes up too much space on your page.

Your content on the home page has some major run on sentences. That combined with the font make it difficult to read. Change your font, chunk your content into smaller sections and shorten your sentences. Use some heading tags in there. You have none on your page.

Can't think of anything else that hasn't already been mentioned.
