Default Review: Guatemala in Pictures.com

Hi, I just launched this website www.GuatemalainPictures.com

It is not a travel guide, but a showcase of pictures about the places I have been with short stories. Just like a window on your desktop. My goal is to make people relax and take some kind of brake on their daywork and want to at least, look at the sky once a day.

The pictures include directions on how to get there. Enjoy. The site was born as I'm a photographer and people often ask me to show them my pictures.

Any comments are welcome.

First of all - you are a very talented photographer. Good for you for creating a site to showcase your amazing work. Very cool to have that kind of talent.

Okay, as for your site...

My screen resolution is pretty high (1280 x 1024) and I have to scroll down to read any of the content. Not a huge problem, and I wouldn't necessarily fix it by cropping your photos, but perhaps you could rearrange the page layout a bit. I hate that you have Goodle Ads in the middle of your page. If you want to keep them, find a different placement. That whole relaxing take a break concept you were talking about is disturbed by ads in the middle of the page. I'd also consider moving your categories from the left nav - just to give you room to possibly post your stories next to your photos instead of below them.

Also, it looks like you use the same meta data for every page (except the title of course). If you want to get picked up in SE's, I'm thinking this is not ideal.

Thank you very much martink!. You are right, my screen is vertical and very long... I have adapted the site to show now only one post. I changed the header too and moved away the ads to the right.

I'll try to change the site to show all the post in every category page. Thanks
