Default Browser Preference Settings

I'm playing around with removing font sizes from my style sheet;

I've already removed font-familys from my site, in order to let viewers see my pages with there own preferences.
Is there any good reason to keep font sizes?

I don't think the majority of users have any idea how to set their browser preferences.

As a designer I leave mine as default to enable me to see sites as the majority of users do.

To answer your question, your site looks poor in Times...

I'm not sure it is necessary to remove either. As long as you don't make a css rule "important" the user should be override them.

I really think that people who have a reason to over ride the style sheets know how to do so -- the ones that don't know you can do that just don't have a reason to.

Ninety-eight (98.3% to be exact) of all browser users have no clue about setting styles.

BTW, I made up the statistic above, but I believe it to reflect reality.

You SHOULD control the font sizes that people see. Print media has been doing this for centuries.

Default "Print media has been doing this for centuries."

Precisely... how many times have you looked at something in print media and wished it was fit for you?
