Default feedback request on heardontv.com

Hello,

I've recently put online a web community around music in TV shows. I'm collecting feedback to improve the look/overall usability. Comments are very welcome!

homepage: http://heardontv.com
a page for a TV show summary: http://heardontv.com/tvshow/Veronica+Mars
a page for one episode: http://heardontv.com/episodes/view/4222

thanks!

Nicely centered, and seems like origional content; alignment is key for crediblity. Focus on SEO (ie. Meta tags, description, keywords, and title) and traffic will start flowing in a couple of months.

228 errors on w3c validator, many of those are related to incorrectly coded br tags, using the depreciated center tag, and reuse of id's -- id's are only supposed to be used once per page.

I am not sure why you have some of your links in the right column bigger than the others -- doesn't look right to me.

Over a 2 minute download for me on dial up -- much of the image weight appears to be coming from the Apple Store image which weighs in at 38k.

Visually it looks good -- I would try to fix some of those errors and optimize your images a little.

thanks! I've fixed the errors, the validator now reports 0 error (at least in transitional).

The links on the right are supposed to look like a cloud tag, a bigger font meaning a larger number of contributed songs (when compared to the other shows). I guess I need to have another look at this!

As per the Apple image, not sure I will be able to do much.

many thanks for looking at it.

Code looks much better -- you still have that pesky center tag in there though -- but you are correct it does validate.

I see what you mean about the apple image -- affiliate link so it is on their website I didn't notice that before -- I would consider going with a text affiliate link instead.

Best of Luck with the site!

I have a probem with the site name in the banner:

'heardontv' looks like 'hear don't v' or nothing.

Why not make it 'heard on tv' or 'HeardOnTV'?

good point! I'm on it.

I followed your advice and went for "heard on tv". But I'm not yet satisfied with it... maybe I'd like to play with the fact that the first letters of "heard on tv" make "HOT" :)
