Hi All,
Ive been a memeber here for a while and used a lot of information and pointers from this site to better my site for the benefit of my business. Im at a point now where im stale for further ideas, i still have a few more content pages a wish to add to my wedding marquee section, but in terms of design user friendlyness i think im where i need to be. The point of my post is to find out what others such as yourselves may think. I am aware of a few coding problems as listed on the validator site, but my techinical abilities have not been sufficent to correct these errors. I am completley self taught, and do make most ammendments with notepad however i did use a wysiwyg program to get started with to make everything a little easier however i found wysiwyg programs made too many changes that it thought was needed some of which brought up problems and errors on the checking sites listed in the stickys! I am too aware of the problems of using graphics to navigate around the site, but i feel these are required especially in a business driven by image and wow factor. However all the above said, im open to constructive critisism. The site is about 1.5 years old and has been changed almost weekly to get it to the point it is now, and im starting to rank well in the search engines, im generally above all local competitors that use professional web designers and seo, so i dont think im doing too bad, however it would be nice to rank high for broad keyword searches on google, such as marquee hire, but i think the big guys and there budgets rule the top ten natural spots on that one! Its also worth noteing that i am a great believer in paying for a worthwhile return on investment so i am a loyal customer of programs such as adwords which im sure do somewhere effect results, however much people say they dont! Thanks in advance, Richard |

Richard,
1. Use an external style sheet. 2. Dump "Advertise your Business with Kyotee." Why would you send anyone AWAY from your website? ,dave

Hi dave,
thanks for your reply, ill do a little more research in how to create an external style sheet, the kyote link was a reciprocal link, at the time i put it there it was a high ranking PR site which is quite popular in the UK, but having said that that was 12 months ago and your probably right, i'll relegate it to the links page (altho kyotee dont recognize links that are not on the homepage, hence the reason for it being their in the first place!) thanks for your feedback! i will take up your recommendations |

Just a quick post to let you all know before it gets pointed out that the toilet hire link is dead, this is due to slight problem to do with trademark infringment that has recently been brought to my attention!
Im working on the replacement page as i type this! Thanks Richard |
