Hello,
This is the first time I have ever put together a ‘real’ site, and actually bought a domain name etc. :-D So I’m pretty excited about it. In saying that, this is the first time for me to have made a proper site, I also have never used CSS before, so this site incorporates my first attempt at that as well. It is not Pure CSS, but a mix of tables as well. I’d love some feedback on usability, visual looks, compatibility etc. Any critiques to help me along the way for the future would be great. The site is http://www.rudisbutchery.com.au (I’m having some trouble at the moment with the domain name, so if it doesn’t work, try the direct link here ALTERNATE DIRECT LINK) Some background for the creation of the site, so you don’t rate me along with a professional website creator/designer :-D I know the manager of shop, and he asked me if I could make a SMALL simple website (actually he just wanted a single web-page), so that he may put up a product list. He wanted it just so that when restaurants etc. kept ringing him up asking for info, instead of having to fax heaps of pages, or describe things over the phone (he doesn't use email) he could just tell them to go to XYZ.com and see the list at their own leisure. I had played around with creating fun, simple, personal sites before (never anything serious), so I figured that i could have a go and I came up with this site ... it turned into something a bit more than either of us were expecting, but I’m (so far) pretty happy with it. It ‘seems’ to work, so that is good also. Let me know what you think. Thankyou for you time, Cheers KJ |

It meets expectations.
There are some minor problems, however. On the Contact Us page... The text above and below the red "Click Here..." is hard to read. "To place your order(s) please call or fax us" needs a comma. The "Please DO NOT send in any orders via the Contact Us form" statement should be on the form itself. On the Butcher page... "Click for Details" doesn't seem to do anything useful. On the About Us page... Is "aclaimed" an Australian spelling or a mistake? "Please visit our contact page" should include a link to that page. |

Excellent job on that site, I love the mouse over map and the quick link menu on the right of the page.
