Hi, would love if someone could review my site - I am very new at this and having a lot of fun. Be honest and make suggestions, thanks! I used a Front Page template for the site.

Hi
Your site is nice and clean and seems to load fast enough. I waited for the site to finish downloading and then realised it already had! I think you need to put a bit more colour on your home page and lay it out a bit better so that there are not gaps at the top right that make the page look unbalanced. Rather than just services on the side nav bar, I think you should list (either there or on the body of the page) the actual services and a link directly to a page on each service.
At this stage, I imagine your priority is to build up your e-mail list so you can resell. Thus, I would put my sign-up fields at the top of the page somewhere with a line about why I would bother to join. Good luck with it!

Default my site

Thanks for the feedback, I am new at this and having a ball with it. These are good suggestions and yes, you are right, my email list is nonexistent so your suggestion about moving up the opt-in is well taken.

I saw your site as well, I liked it a lot, except I think I liked the brightness of the inner pages better than the dark blue of the main page - I think that was your site with the blue stars? Nice art. Beautiful stuff.

Hi there!

I like you site as it's is clean and loads fast - very good start. Here are some pointers which in my opinions you site needs for a little brushing up.

- Try to stick to one font. I'm seeing the left nav in Times and the body text in Verdana. Try to stick to one. This gives your site a sense of conformity and style, plus is it more pleasing to the eye.

- Try and make the top logo (arl-domains) blend in more with the background, and remove the blue line which comes up since it's a link. You can do this like so by assigning a ZERO value to the "border" in the image tag: img border="0". In my opinion image links look much better without the blue line thingy.

Otherwise I think you're off to a good start, and believe me you'll get better with practice and experience!!

Hope I've helped! :))

Hi, Sarah, thanks for your feedback. I am struggling with the logo - I fumbled with it as far as creating it in Photoshop, then tried to edit it and didn't have a clue - I would like to make it transparent (blend it with the light gray-ish background). I am still fiddling around with the font to try to see what is pleasing to the eye - plain old Arial was not working. I will probably try a couple of other sites and then maybe I can take some paid projects or some charity projects to gain more experience.

I will probably be having a logo and banner made when I get some cash scraped together. Maybe I will be able to scrape together some training for Photoshop or something. I am still in love with your Pasazz site, too. Do you have a banner I can put on my "Webmaster's Choice" page?
