dave's bang on...i almost went blind when it opened up.

once my eyes adjusted, that pop-up was an instant turn-off.

i'll give the overall layout a 'meh'.

you should start looking into table-less design.

Maybe you can use other lighter colors for the eyes. The fiery red color is overwhelming and it will be very hard to stay focused on site content with this color.

Consider changing the colors please.
