Perhaps a change in color scheme and you know the old saying a picture is worth a thousand words.
You might get some more ideas at my site (see my signature) which is actually a blog with a commercial purpose.
You may want to experiment with adding some streaming video (something I intend to do very soon) and a careful selection of affiliate banners and links to add value (and an income source) to your site.
