Default iHomeConnect - www.ihomeconnect.com

Hi everyone,

I submitted my site a little over a year ago, but since then I've done some major changes.

http://www.ihomeconnect.com

I'd appreciate feedback on the following areas on a scale of 1-10 (with any commentary you have):

1. Design (does it attract you?)
2. User-friendliness
3. Functionality/Detail

I look forward to hearing your feedback!

Tim

>>>I'd appreciate feedback on the following areas on a scale of 1-10 (with any commentary you have):

1. Design (does it attract you?)
=> 7 - I like it but I also feel like I need to squint. But I like it so I'm torn. I can't think of helpful feedback here.

2. User-friendliness
=> 8 - I could find what I needed.

3. Functionality/Detail
=> 9 - The site seems very robust and built out. This sort of site needs a lot of advertising to start off. Going national from the start without an ad budget to support that seems hard. I'd pick either San Diego or LA (or where ever you live) and do cheap / free local promotions. Visit open houses or put flyers on bullitin boards at the grocery store. The site would be great if 1000 times as many people were using it. Right now I'd have to go to craigs list to buy or sell or whatever just because everyone else does too. It looks like a big deal / major site vs. one that would only have 40 properties for sale.

Also, If you want to trade links, I have a real estate site in Virginia I operate. Let me know ( webmaster @ tanmonkey . com )

I'm sorry that the font size is a bit small. I may tinker with a header that switches css style sheets so I could have a bigger font size. I thought the font size was sexy at the time, but even with the 2 years that have passed, I am beginning to appreciate larger font sizes (maybe from so much reading) ;)

WOW! I feel ashamed, but I never thought of open houses before. Thanks for the suggestion!!! I'm coming back to LA for the winter so I will use that time to promote IHC in the area. Yeah, craigslist is cool for selling items and finding jobs, but it sucks for real estate. All I get is compliments from realtors on how nice my site is and how easy it is for them to manage their listings.

Anyways, thanks for the feedback! If anyone else would care to comment on IHC, I'd really appreciate it! :)

Default Nice Work !

Design- 7 User Friendliness- 9 Functionality/Navigation 9

I saw your site when you first had it reviewed here and you certainly have done a tremendous amount of work on it. Congrats! It looks good, but it is very basic as far as the design or appearance. Perhaps a little sprucing up might be nice by adding some colors and depth. By the way- I was wondering how you're doing with advertising since you seem to have quite a bit? Any comments preferably in a PM would be nice since we have the same type of real estate oriented sites.

I think the navigation or functionality is very good- easy to get around and I really like what you have done with the spirit of the site-- to get the word out. It seems to be working judging from your traffic.

Good luck with it in the future!
