Hi All.
Have just finished my site. Trying to ensure that everything works and that nobody is having problems viewing. Seems to be ok in Firefox, IE and Opera, but you never know until its been battered a bit. All constructive comments appreciated. Thanks. QuizDave www.quizzles.co.uk |

Hi QuizDave,
It took me a while to find the content I'm afraid and then it turns out the "quizzies" have to be downloaded as .zip files. Hmm... I'm on a Mac and not overly paranoid about viruses but even I'm not going to open a .zip file with precious little provenance. Sorry. Why can't the quizzes be accessed online, without the download? Other than that it works OK on Safari but have you considered using CSS instead of those tables? I've got a big monitor and it looks a bit weird stretched in the browser. Hope that helps, Simon

Hi Webdreck
Thanks for that. Glad to hear that it works in another browser. Zipped files have been there for a while, appreciate your concern, but these are free quizzes for anyone to use where they want. I used to place a 'live' quiz on the site, but not many played. Now then CSS, have never got my head around this, suppose going to have to do some reading up, find frontpage the easiest form for me to build the website and as you are aware it makes in tables. Got any advice on CSS, how to go about starting and what it involves, is it difficult to learn, etc??? Thanks QuizDave www.quizzles.co.uk |

CSS is easy enough, depends on what you want to do. The hardest part (for me at least) is forgetting all those hacks with table-based layouts. Once you've got the structure of your page CSS makes it really easy to manage the formatting of all the pages you apply the style sheet to. In the long run this is a major plus and you also have an unprecedented level of control over page elements.
I use Adobe GoLive (CS2) and it makes working with CSS pretty straightforward. Cheers, Simon
