Tim,

The first thing that grabbed my attention was colors! The light brown/tan color does not mesh with the bright yellow color to my eyes. The brown links are hard to read on the background. The body text is better, but contrasts too much.

Also, the box shapes in flash -- the purpose? They don't take long to load on a 128k connection, but is there a specific purpose for them?

There is definitely good information, with highlights for the business and your skills.

Layout is good. Meta-tags look good, though that should be expected given the push on SEO.

Overall good site, I'm just not sure on the colors

I feel I must reply to this comment and say that the two flash animations on the front page are only 5 and 6 Kb each and load very quickly on any connection.
Their purpose is to demonstrate flash action script and also to look attractive.
However you may be right about the colours.
I'll wait for more comments
Thanks for your input though.

I have to agree about the color. That brown should not be in the color palette. The gold isn't bad though.

1) The Bio should be in the main navigation not in the portfolio.

2) When I click on information, I am greeted with a lot of other links. I kind of expected to get "information" when clicking on the link, not more links. But when I did click on one of those links, everything moves to the bottom. If I don't go all the way to the bottom of the page, then I have to hit the back button.

You should always have your navigation above the fold of the page. Across the top, or along the left side. Never move it all to the botom unless it is viewable without scrolling.

3) While the little boxes are a cool effect, They do not serve any other purpose than to take up valuable space. If you would like to display your flash abilities, then put them in the portfolio where they belong.

4) On your contact form, you have "Name and Message" above the input field while "Your Email and Phone" are inline with the input fields. You need to create consistency within your site, whether they are on top or inline, they should all be the same.

Hope this helps.

Best of luck to you.

Nice layout, clean design. I'd like to see thumbnails on your Portfolio page - which when I went there I wondered how the color scheme would work, but since there are no thumbnails, that wasn't an issue, but I don't want to have to click to see the sites - maybe a rollover?

I do like the crazy rollover effect you've done on the images to the left and right on that page. I see for some of the sections you do have thumbnails, so just carry that through to the websites section.

I visited the links pages (I always visit site's link pages - don't know why), and chose a link to BigNoses.co.uk which sadly led to a "forbidden" entry warning. Then I noticed that link wasn't coded for the BigNoses.co.uk address but rather the address on the link following it, which is the broken link so it's repeated: http://www.mirakliger.com so check those. I use a free program called Xenu's Link Sleuth which you can find at http://home.snafu.de/tilman/xenulink.html.

I checked some of the links to your own site on your link's page and they are confusing. It distracts from the professionalism of the other site to lead to a page with a different look (similar, but still different). Let those go, or incorporate them with a similar look and feel to the other pages and it will go over better.

It's a good start and with a little work you'd have a nice polished site.

Very attractive site, but the bright yellow hurts my eyes. I am not sure about the squares on the left, and for what purpose they serve. I thought they might be links, but nothing happened. You have inserted good source code. A very nice website, but remember...that color of yellow is very strong, and not appealing to many people. You might wish to tone it down a bit?
