Hi,

Flash looks oke but I personally think it's to slow for my concern. If there's sound on the site I wont hear it because my computer's sound has been turned of (just as many others on the workfloor).
Don't know much about optimizing for flash but with the text you have in the source and no internal links and backlinks whatsoever I wonder if you'll ever get over 500 visitors a month.

Anyway, is there anything specific you wanted reviewed? SEO, Flash or content?

I think the design is good. There's a lot to like here. Agree with the site feeling slow to me.

On the SEO, you're definitely tipping in the direction of what is considered Black Hat...Particularly, the black text on a black background...especially with list of roughly a hundred of keyword phases in this "hidden" text. To me its one thing to have you're copy in a layer of a flash site, its quite another to have tons of keywords hidden in the background and in your code comments.

Whether you get caught and banned by engines who's to say. The way I look at stuff like this is if asked by Google would I be able to give a reasonable explanation for why I did something that skirts the "rules". Just something you may want to consider.

Cool design, great flash but very slow, I just don't have the time to wait for the information to load.

It's like flash intros they are nice for the first time you go to the site but waiting over and over is a pain.

Also the white italic text is very hard to read, and the fades from one text paragraph to another is irritating.

I would make it faster and make your Green window or box larger it has a lot of room to get closer to your navigation bar, that would allow for a larger font size, which would make it easier to read.

Wow Chris,

For a minute I realy thought you had produced all that Dutch text... But I see the "Qoute" now. Stupid of me that I didn't even spot the hidden text at my first visit (I didn't think people did this anymore).

I seem to remember having seen people optimizing pages for flash and making the text in the flash crawlable. Is this possible? Because in that case my dear fellow Dutchman wouldn't need to commit his Google-suicide this way.

A hint anyone? I know I don't know. That's exactly why I stay away from anything not basic html.

as you can see, hidden text is still a no-no. from doing a little reading it certainly appears as if the older method of making a static HTML site to accompany the Flash version is still the way to go, SEO-wise.

Very slow from what I'm experiencing on a decent connection. All flash? Can be a problem but if you have a way of marketing your site than it's not that bad. In terms of looks the design is pretty nice but it's kind of bad that you have it in flash because I can't translate the text unless I manually type it out and use a translator.

looks a nice site, I know its mine and 1000's peoples fault that we have a failing of not understanding dutch. but might it not be a good Idea to have a couple of html pages (shock horror!) without all the hidden flashy stuff in english (even american english would do...) explaining what the site is about/does?
might even improve your sales of whatever you are selling! which is probably why you have the site in the first place.

Let's get down to fundamentals. Full Flash is difficult to optimise for search engines and as said before, hidden text is a no no. However, site does not conform to standards. It is possible to have flash comply with W3C - see http://www.alistapart.com/articles/flashsatay/ for simple conversion of embedding code. No doctype either. 24 lines or thereabouts of header is way too much. Search engines will just get fed up and move on (so to speak)

Taking that aside, there is no indication that clicking on the menu actually does anything. As a video/audio presentation it is brilliant but I don't think it works as a website - sorry.

Design wise, it is pretty neat. But hidden text is definitely a no - no for search engines.

You can add short description for your flash but not too much.
