Was not working in Internet Explorer 7 on my system. Works in Firefox with no problems. Love the site though. Very well designed.

Very attractive! You've really done a great job for this, your first css site!

There is one issue you will need to deal with, and that's text resizing. People who don't have good vision may use a font size larger than you've designed for. When I design pages in css I take that into account so that if someone ups the font size to 150% of the browser default the layout doesn't break. Yours does. When text is resized on your site the text overlaps the header in that small horizontal navigation up top, and it overlaps out of the bottom of your light background and becomes unreadable against the dark background lower down. These are simple things to fix. Simply don't set heights on elements where text needs to resize, and put the backgrounds on the element UNDER the one the text is on, so that the background will get pushed down and always be under the text.

For specific help with this and other css issues you might benefit from joining the css-discuss group. You've gotten the basics of good css design down, now all you need to do is refine those skills!

The larger images popping up look and function better than the popup window with the image. But there is one minor hitch. If users scroll down the page and hover the mouse over an image on top near the Address bar, the popup image would end up being only partially seen. To see it fully they will have to scroll up. Can be circumvented by making the larger popup image open lower than it opens now.

Otherwise an attractive site. Er..... do you really need that background music on the home page? Would be a good idea to add more introductory text on the home page, about the site, products, designer. Some of the banner images on top could be optimized further, file sizes I mean. Some a quite large. Lastly, better to add a contact form on the contact page, would make things simple for users to make queries.

Default HTML

The site is quite attractive and the HTML validates, but it could be improved.

For instance,

<div >
<a href="index.html">

</a>
</div>

has several problems. The div should be <div>, but you already knew that, and the validator should have caught it. Not a big problem.

Also, the link has inline style (style="border-style:none"). Use the style sheet because inline style violates everything that CSS is trying to do (spearate presenation from content). Move the inline CSS to the style sheet.

Try running your html through Tidy (http://infohound.net/tidy/). Be sure to set the character encoding to utf8.

Phil
