Default Please review my affiliate website... www.Proven-Wealth.net

Hello!

I am new to this forum AND to the internet business world..

Anyways, I revently started www.Proven-Wealth.net ..which is supposed to review the latest business opportunities on the internet.

I know the design still needs to be improved, and I am working hard on it considering that i only have 1-2 free days a week lol

For your effort, i've included giving away a 10% discount on a webhosting service, which is in the tools section..again do have a look

thx!

Don't take this the wrong way...

but it looks just like the 10,000 other scammy get rich quick pyramid scheme ripoff sites that it is.

It isn't even using unique text.

The most remarkable thing about this site is the fact that it is accepted into the AdSense program. It is a text book example of one of Google's most egregious bad business practices.

Other than that, it looks great and I'm sure you'll make a fortune with it in no time...

Maybe it is about time to put a threshold on the number of posts you must have before posting in this forum.

The poster asks no specific questions on what to rate, what should be improved and the hosting offer is a scam, 1 terabyte for 7.95/month, 1 terabyte of even the cheapest bandwidth runs around $150.

This was actually posted originally in affiliate marketing. I moved it into here.

The reason why I don't require a min post count to request a review is that it is a good way to bring new folks into the forum. Typically in the case of a genuine review request from a genuine new member, it isn't such a big problem.

For the rest of them, I just slap a no-follow on their links and let everyone feel free to take a shot at them. It therefore, serves little to no purpose to spam this forum because you get no link value and beyond that you will most likely be made fun of and have your scam pointed out as a scam for all to see.

That's the idea anyway.

Thx, I didn't know there was a 'submit site for review' section

As to whether it is a scam, I do not know. I only know that I have benefited from information provided even though my profits are minimal, not even $100 to date.

BTW, what is 'unique text'?

I figure this is one of those things I can do considering I only have 1-2 hrs a week to work on it with very little experience.

I am working towards making a proper review webby, to help a noob start an internet business.

The concept is such that he would go through step by step.

example...step1, hosting...then there would be reviews for at least 10 hosting services...and then the most recommended ones.

step2...page building..
step3... affiliate companies..
step4...internet business guides

etcetc

something like hostingreview..but not only on hosting.

still working on the content. Hope I can get some ideas.

It's hard for me to commit coz I'm serving my national service liability (in Singapore, every able bodied male above 16 1/2 yrs old must serve at least 2 years of military service). I can only go home once/twice a week. Lol, good and bad I guess.

I do recall saying that that the design needs to be improved.

And as to 'no specifics to rate', I am probably at the ' I do not know what I do not know' stage. Even as a veteran webmaster, I believe there was a stage where one would be like 'wth am I being flamed for'

Sorry for not knowing what I do not know then.

As for the hosting offer, I am currently hosting with bluehost which offers about half of what my current deal now has. Seeing an even more fantastic offer, I thought it would be nice to share it. From what I read, some affiliate marketers have multiple domains for a purpose. My old hosts 6in1. My new offer hosts unlimited. I thought it would be cool for the new people to get it rather than 'test and burn' money by signing up for one and realising that there are better hosts out there, which I have already done on numerous occasions.

Btw, I am paying $7.95/month for a 500gig hosting with 50gig space.

So, based on what a veteran webmaster said, shouldn't I be paying around..sorry AT LEAST $75/mth? Flame properly.

PS. I hope I did not offend anyone here. I am here to learn. If I were simple trying to get lickage back to my site then I would be blasting msgs all over the place.
I am also sick of 'veterans' who flame w/o double checking their information or forgot that there was a time when they were noobs to. Unfortunately, this behaviour seems to be rampant everywhere (gaming, work, business, sports)

Flame properly? I'll let you in on a few secrets mate. You are not paying $7.95/month for 500gig transfer and 50gig space. You are a victim of the oldest hosting scam in the book. Overselling.

Overselling is when a host "oversells" the resources of a server in the hope that no one actually utilizes the resources supposedly set aside for them. Hope is not a good basis for a business plan.

Most hosts oversell to a certain extent 10-20% of resources seems to be standard amongst the established hosts but the amount of resources you claim to get for $7.95 well that is a scam my friend. Try using all those resources in one month and see how quick they whip out an obscure paragraph in their terms of service as a reason to discontinue hosting you.

At the lower end scale of the hosting market you can get a server for around $50 with 1tb transfer (usually tier2 crap) and a 40gig ide hardrive, your hosting specs are above that of some dedicated servers.

Some info for you, your host "Bluehost.com" offers 30gig space and 750gig transfer for 6.95/month and the server you are on hosts 875 other websites. To offer all their clients the resources they claim to offer that server would need a 26,250gb hard disk and 656,250gb of bandwidth.

One of the craziest overselling scams I have seen in a long time.

That proper enough for you?

Is that so?

Hmm..thx for the heads up..

In that case...where can I get 'genuine' hosting? I take it that the big names like yahoo and bigdaddy are non-scams?

I just hope that despite being a pro (well you seem to sound like one), I hope that you'd probably more tactful in your approach...

I mean, hey, I AM a noob. I thought I saw a good deal, then you accused me of offering a scam.

From MY point of view, I'm like "wtf? I am being flamed for something I am not even doing?"

Well, maybe for you, I'm another one of those kids hoping to make a quick buck. The thing is at the receiving end, you seem like another arrogant $#@.

But it's alright and I'll like to take the first steps in apologising for any misunderstanding caused.

Cheers!

Where did I mention "kids out to make a quick buck?" sounds like you are already familiar with the term "kiddie host", sure your a noob?

If you genuinely want to know more about how to tell a decent host from "kiddie hosts" then check out webhostingtalk.com
