Default bit of a list I'm afraid

Hello.
I had a look around your site and found the navigation easy to use. The load time is also very quick.

There are a few things I would look at though:

1. I feel there are too many graphic styles going on at once. The blue horizontal bar shading at the top, the wavy & pointy grey shape on the right and bottom, the blue oval thing at the top of the menus, the orbit pattern things.

They dont fit together well visually and seem a bit disconnected, (is there supposed to be a smooth join between the top left graphic and the top bar? I see a white quarter circle in between them like they've missed by about 20 pixels).

I would recommend simplifying it a bit, lose the grey shape and fade out the top graphic as it comes down to meet the menus.

2. The soundbites on the right are a good idea for the lazy surfer. I dont like the grey ovals at the top of each one though, it looks as if there should be something written in them.

The wording seems a bit verbose, something simple and snappy would be better, eg.

Keep the text size consistent, and possibly a little larger for greater impact.

3. Too much text, if you have any journalist or writer friends, try to get some help making a precis of your existing text. What you say is good, and clearly intelligent and confident, but there's just too much of it, (look who's talking), you dont need to explain every part of the process, people just want to know what they will get.

There are some inconsistencies with type styles, especially on the pricing page, where the use of bold headings is sporadic, and spaces would work better than the indents you have now.

I dont mean to sound hyper-critical, the site is of good quality and you haven't missed any information. A bit of simplification and it'll be excellent.

One last thing, get a logo and possibly a business name, something easy to remember that represents your style. The seraph font on the top right won't do you justice.

Are you using templates?

Best regards,
James

Default thank you

Thank you for all the advice... it is most appreciated...
yes, I am using a template because I am seriously graphic challenged... and the colors (grey/red) and designs are part of that graphic... (red is my favorite color and I couldn't resist using that particular template)

I found out myself, that the text was not consistent.. I don't know what time you viewd my site, but I think I have made text all the same font (keeping my fingers crossed that I did indeed make all the corrections)
I like your ideas about the side message boxes.. changed the wording.. thanks! I agree with you about the gray oval.. there was text in there on the original template.. I didn't like it, so deleted it and could not figure out what, if anything, to put in the boxes... Unfortunately, I cannot delete them.. have tried repeatedly and failed.

I realize that I tend to be verbose (a habit I also have in real life, which annoys my children - they complain that I tend to over explain).. I wanted my potential client to know what to expect, but I am more than willing to pare my words - I'm just not sure what to delete and still sound business like.

I also thought of having a better name for my business, (My own name as my business sounds extremely boring) but have to think of something that I really like...I'm still giving it a lot of thought.. and then there will be the challenge of doing a logo (I can't even draw a straight line!)

Again, Thank you for your critique.. I appreciate the time you took to view the site and type all your comments.

Default hi

Your site is excellently constructed. I especially liked the left side navs. Your banner is an eye catcher too :)

Though your site is a very well detailed and put together site, the colors are hard on the eyes.

colors and links that work best with white bg's
black/brown text
blue or red links - easier on the eyes and allows
for color impact. The purple with the pink visited link colors were hard to look at.

Your text area is kinda long, but you do a wonderful job explaining what you are offering and what the customer will be getting.
Also, I'm not sure if it's supposed to be this way or not, but it appears that your logo frame(?) underneath your links for portfolio and sitemap, appears to be not aligned correctly.

All in all I found your site very informative, very well constructed as I mentioned earlier, straight forward, and I especially liked the way you explained things to people in laymen's terms..alot of people have no idea what does what or what means what.

Great job!
